HI-LO, the techno alter-ego of Oliver Heldens debuts on Drumcode with a full-force two-tracker ‘Hypnos’. Unbeknown to many, the Dutch future house star has been cultivating a love of techno separate from his mainstage persona. As HI-LO, he’s remixed Nina Kraviz’s ‘Skyscrapers’ and released on Octopus and Filth on Acid, the latter consisting of collaborations with Reinier Zonneveld, T78 and Will Clarke. 
Over the last 12 months, HI-LO has become the sixth highest selling Techno artist on Beatport, as well as cemented his place as a top streaming act in the genre.

His Drumcode debut ‘Hypnos’ is effective and infectious in equal doses. The title track is led by a catchy bass groove that espouses plenty of personality and is a handy tool for building energy throughout the night. ‘Hera’ is a straight-edged euphoric gem, driven by an uplifting key riff throughout.

Pedro Cravo is a masterful hypnotist behind the decks. Conjuring up different loops, he enchants his audiences with groovy yet mysterious sounds, expertly combining the seemingly opposed deep and rough textures techno has to offer. A magician in the studio, Cravo lends this signature sound to his productions, which are often met with high acclaim within the scene. It is no wonder then, that his platform Hayes Collective (he is co-founder) is widely considered one of the hottest outlets for modern and groovy cuts and is probably the most influential spanish techno export currently available, with names such as Temudo and ViL to boast. Enjoy this one-hour showing of functional as well as asthetic electronic music, crafted for the dancefloor, yet perfectly suited for simply listening as well.

Recently celebrating the 5-year anniversary of his label Warok, co-founded together with Eyth, he balances on the groove and deeper side of techno with interesting twists and turns. While most of his output is through his own label, the producer also released on labels like The Gods Planet and Are You Alien. For the next 75 minutes, Clotur dives deep into the weird, funky and most of all groovy rhythms.

For our special 50th edition of the series we invited the Dallas based producer and DJ who specializes in the realm of minimal and sci fi techno. He has been making a name for himself in the scene during the past few years and has been named by Richie Hawtin as the new generation of U.S. techno. With an emphasis on deep kicks and rolling sequences, he has had notable releases on labels such as Axis, Float, Subsist, and his own imprint Codec Recordings.

This infectious mix with extensive and subtle layering will be a certain treat for your ears!

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the British dj & producer Operator(Soma Records / Gnosis Records).

Operator is the alias of UK electronic music artist, engineer and DJ Rich Jones, known for his Techno and House productions on Soma, 8 Sided Dice, Kanzleramt, and Greta Cottage Workshop, over 18 vinyl releases to his name, and having been remixed by Mark Broom and Joey Beltram over the years.
After 6 years of releasing music under his own name, Operator, alongside Richʼs imprint Gnosis Records, was born in 2012 to allow free reign to explore his own unique take on Techno, influenced mainly by the sound closest to his heart - that being the hypnosis inducing tribal tinged percussive loopy sound of the late 90s/early 00ʼs that he grew up on. 
With Operator, and Gnosis Records, the theme was to be on the transcendental nature of ‘flow statesʼ induced by repetitive percussive rhythms and altered consciousness states, with a nod to spirituality, psychedelia, futurism and cyber punk aesthetics, all things close to Richʼs heart.
Today we are thrilled to host this killer set which perfectly puts his sound in focus.
