D palace is a new low key project releasing music that reminds us of the early 90’s era of rave music. The record contain tracks filled with breakbeat samples, sharp chords and warm pads over Roland drums. While the A-side is dance floor focused the B- side reveals a rather playful and experimental perspective.

Racing through the traffic he careered into the darkness of the night in search of something more. He whizzed by cars and buses, down backstreets and highways in the hope that he might escape from himself, just for one evening. This was to be the last time, the last outing, the last escape. He was looking for the last lane and for the chance to start afresh and anew. As the rain began to pour from the heavens above he began to accelerate faster into the abyss. 

D Palace is a new project set to showcase the prominence and relevance of 90's rave culture on dance and electronic music. It will be understated, without pretension and all about the music in the truest of senses. This is the first release on the new label.

Taking a brief hiatus from releasing on his own label, DJ Godfather hands over the production reigns to Plus Size Models for the next EP on Databass.

Detroit’s Plus Size Models (a.k.a. Chris Sutton) describes himself as Ghetto Booty lovin’ – House jacking – Techno pushing – Bass Lover, which he’s proven through his DJ sets over the last 18 years, and much more recently via releases on labels like Dirtybird (where he made his track debut in 2019) and Spoon Fed Records (earlier this year).

Delivering a fresh take on the Jit sound, with boundless energy, the EP opens with ‘Fort Street Jit’ before the quirky ‘Cork Town’. Meanwhile the other two tracks ‘Slipping’ and ‘The Jam’ head further into ghettotech territory with a techno twist.
