Second release of the year already from the party music people of Abstrack. This time, it’s Brussels based artist Strapontin whose original production is on the menu, with re interpretation from several gifted companions. The multitude here is no excuse for genericity or easy recipes, rather a fertile playground for toying around with a wide range of vibes and moods.
Matches is a poetic, sensual spoken-word piece. The song feels like a flower about to blossom, though with plenty of hybrid DNA in it. In the end it leaves the way wide open for further emotions to get through. And they do.
Sasnal Park is the emotion of wander : looking for something forever, but for what? The drums make you believe that you found it but they turn out to be a mirage, and so does every tangible element of the track. A beautiful journey in the end even if you don’t know where you’ve been.
Family Diner … no ambiguity this time : a mystical roller as dark as it is trippy. Or maybe more trippy. Either way, not sure you can resist dancing to this one played out loud. Lose yourself to screaming halfway through, but only to fall back well rooted in those dancing feet afterwards.
On the flip, remixers put it where they’re expected to : A Strange Wedding takes the wandering “Sasnal Park” on the Edge of trancy club music, closer to the roots of Abstrack parties.

Each morning we wake and go about our days in very different ways. Some may have rituals or routines that can't be broken, others may roll out of bed and see where the day takes them. Melbourne-based producer Ruby Kerkhofs AKA Nice Girl has had a fruitful relationship with Munich's Public Possession over the last two years. First appearing on the label's 'Chill Pill' compilation in 2019, and its subsequent follow up in 2020, she then added a couple of solo outings to the list last year in the form of 'Take A Step' and 'Whistling Thorn'. Now she's returning to the imprint for her debut long player 'Ipsum'; a collection of organic electronic productions that range from meditative downtempo to sparse dub vibrations and hypnotic driving trance.

Inﬂuenced by his father’s culture a.b.u.3.0.3 blends elements of traditional Anatolian Folk with electronic music that shaped his youth. He combines bass heavy Techno rhythms with deep Acid patterns, letting his arrangements oscillate between nostalgic moods and contemporary sounds.

Standard Deviation continues its Vinyl series with another Split release, aiming to foster intercultural exchange, collaboration and friendship between Ukraine and the international community. For the second Vinyl project, emerging Ukrainian musician Omon Breaker shares the stage with Berlin based Mala Junta Resident D.Dan.

The Split format is a musical dialogue between two worlds, backgrounds and histories. With Mala Junta resident and Seattle raised D.Dan on the A-Side and Kyiv based, Dnipro-born Omon Breaker on the B-side, the record aims to reflect on both their individual experiences and musical journeys, as an honest statement of their current works spanning across D.Dan’s high-energy Trance and groovy summer Techno towards the EBM and 90’s style influenced works of Omon Breaker.

Das Werk presents a new split-EP series combining cassette and digital releases titled: "Das Tape“. The first limited edition will be released on August 7, 2024. The artists featured on "Das Tape Vol. 1“ are the young Ukrainian producer @miroslav062 and our project's curator @omonbreaker.

For miroslav062, this release marks the starting point of his career. Skillfully combining the drama and melody of trance with the rhythm and dynamics of techno, the artist clearly defines his musical boundaries—or rather, the lack thereof. The numbers 062 represent the area code of Donetsk, Ukraine, the city where the artist was born and raised. This industrial city with a high level of factories has become the foundation for his exploration of the underground scene, in which Miroslav is now a fresh and vibrant presence.

The B-side is taken over by Ukrainian DJ and sound producer Omon Breaker. Over several years of his creative journey, the artist has found a balance between techno, trance, breakbeat, and electro, thus creating a psytech sound. His music is filled with the author's emotions and experiences, ranging from love to hate, from sorrow to joy.

His EP is characterized by a unique, dark and mesmerizing atmosphere; something you’ll definitely find back. Peryl closes the gap between techno, post-punk & EBM. His obscure expression of music heralds in a postmodern chaos.

With “Lust”, the young and upcoming producer peryl is releasing his second ep on shizophrenia crew Peryl is impressively proving once again, that his musical developement did not stop.

The tracks “Du & Ich” and “Female Distance Control”, which are appearing in an very ebm-ish garment, will be massive first-class dancefloor-monsters. Oppressive kicks, electrifying synths and driving vocals are doing the rest.

With “Killing Routine”, the third track of this ep, mood is changing into an thrilling darkness, in which tension is nearly tangible.

“Soaked” rounds out the ep with subtle drones and is loaded with ambient tunes. This track will take you to a journey through feelings whose existence you did not even noticed until then.

Lobster Theremin continue a string of euphoric, rave ready techno and trance cuts with a release from Germany’s Rove Ranger that’s hard, fast and effective. Straight off the back of his latest release on ravey UK imprint 10 Pills Mate, and his incredible track ‘Stutenlove’ on Lobster’s PLUR Compilation Volume 1. Rove Ranger is the dancefloor gift that keeps on giving. ‘

Opener ‘1998’ conjures up earlier release Rave Memories, with loopy, psychedelic, thundering 140+ techno, hurtling us from acid car ride into full flight across a sunset-burnt sky. Hefty percussive techno with an old skool sound, waves or rave drift over pacey heat and compelling kicks. Then we arrive at ‘101010’. 100% warehouse body music on this driving title track. Organic, clinking, clattering shell percussion clops over a dark, endless beat. True Berlin warehouse spirit channelled into the machine.

The uplifting ‘In My Mind’ is a proper chunky club pumper, blending lush vocals, squelchy bass lines and housier elements. The peak of euphoria and a nostalgic trip back to 90’s fusion dance music. Rounding out the EP on a eurorave tip, ‘Schaltkreis’ launches down a swirling, mesmerising wormhole. Pulling together urgent trance-synth stabs, racing pulse drumwork and crushed production taking us headlong into the abyss
