The 31st vurt podcast features a 113-minute set called ‘Orbium Mix’ by Berlin-based techno artist Magna Pia - a solo project by electronic musician Hüseyin Evirgen who is known as half of the legendary live techno duo - Cassegrain. Magna Pia focuses on providing combative dance floor trips and unorthodox sonic moods with subtle 90s techno references while he keeps his interest in combining contemporary techno music with archaic symbolism.
Magna Pia recently released his second solo EP [Orbium] on the Counterchange label, ahead of a full-length LP on the label set for Q4 this year. It contains 4 tracks of highly effective techno-purism laced with shamanic, psychedelic undertones, intuitive modulating arrangements, and cyclical, kinetic energy.

We are super excited to present the 81st podcast featuring an hour of full-throttle grooves from Mikrotakt!

Sacha Treasure aka Mikrotakt is a London native who grew up in the deep forest of Sweden - This raw groove dealer has already released on the likes of Cantical Records, Catalog 01366, Trau-ma and the aforementioned DifferentSound. With more big releases planned for the rest of the year, there's no sign of slowing down.

From the age of 14 Sacha has been learning his way around DAWs and electronic music, experimenting with old school hip hop. Coming from a very musical background his family encouraged creativity - Learning many instruments throughout his childhood from violin to piano.

Sacha later fell in love with the underground rave scene and the sound of Techno. Since then he has gotten involved where he can and developed his sound.

Mikrotakt can be identified as raw, percussive and groovy. His hybrid sets deliver pounding rhythms full of energy.

As usual, turn up the volume and enjoy the mix!

We inaugurate the new year with a set whose energy still snakes through the trees of the Komorebi Music Festival. A set capable of subjugating bodies to the rhythm of a darkness dense of strong techno and synergies.
It was an untamable ride with which Wrong Assessment closed the curtain on Saturday night: powerful bpm that scratched the earth and overwhelmed the crowd.

    Ben B is an artist, co-founder and member of the Polish Techno.logy collective. He was interested in music from an early age, then to learn the art of mixing and the first DAW’s. Electronic music has always been a transmitter and a catalyst of emotions for him. He started his professional adventure in 2008, where he performed as a DJ at the first club party. Over the years, he perfected his skills and went through several musical genres to finally focus on the darker variety of his favorite genre. The diverse selection that he carefully selects and the eclectic interpretation makes his sets interesting for his audience.

We filmed the clip in Lyon in november. I would like to say that the clip has nothing to do with the Corona virus ! 😷
