This is a remix I done for a Metapop remix contest for Yukijo (I got 2nd place :D). This is a very different style than I'm used to and I tried to keep things very simple since I tend to be way too detail-oriented with my tracks (and also because I only had 3 days to work on this track because of deadlines lmao). 二十五亿年前，地球的生命在没有臭氧层过滤的紫外线下炙烤。只有太阳落山之后，生命的轮廓在黑暗中开始泛出微光。

当月亮用清冷的目光凝视着大地，亿万年前的海底之下，密密麻麻的原始生命在月光中蠕动爬行。它们用身体缓缓绘制出来自地球之外文明的图案。

在深海底部静待演化的海绵，他们无声地伸展，却又沉默地缩凝。海水的盐分，月光的照射，见证着生命正以缓慢且精密的手段繁衍进化。他们的身体似乎是这世界最温软的语言，无声却有形的嵌入岁月。

马里亚纳海沟的深处，堆满了三叶虫的骨骸与磷火。骨骸之下，是用火山灰搭建起的城墙。城墙上的古老预言被写入基因，在生命的繁衍中传递向未来。

Raincoat is a song that almost never got finished. It was a while of not knowing where to go with the song, until eventually I decided to just open the project file and see what I can do.
What resulted in the next two days is one of my favorite songs I've ever created. Raincoat is a product of struggle, and finishing it felt so relieving to me. It gave me a sort of confidence in myself I don't know if I've felt before. 
In our creative journeys, it can be easy to get lost, but we have to keep pushing forward. Struggle can, in the end, breed creativity if you just keep fighting against it.

Raincoat

5th track from my still still upcoming EP "HIRAETH" (it's close)

technically this might be the second finished version (or maybe even the third), the first one was nearing completion around the time luv u released but at some point i realised that i'm not happy with it in the slightest and that it does not have any redeemable qualities, it took me making one new part of the song (one you can hear at 2:59) to start replacing and rearranging other ones one by one until pretty much none that were present initially remained.

this is a prime example of sunk-cost fallacy, a good chunk of the driving force that made me want to finish this one came from the fact that i didn't want all the effort i've already put into it go to waste. in the end i'm not even sure if i'm entirely satisfied with the results, i feel like it sounds like a collection of ideas rather than a cohesive song. however i'm happy with how they sound individually, and i think this showcases some sides of my music that weren't present in my previous releases, so maybe it's not so bad, i hope you can enjoy it!

It's honestly kind of surreal that I'm releasing this song; it's the longest I've ever worked on a piece of music, as I started this tune back in May of 2021. Some of my friends will recognize it, as it was originally called "Stuck In November." 
I'm extremely happy with where the song is at now, but getting to that point wasn't easy; I've been working on this on and off for so long, there was a lot of trial and error. I knew what I wanted to do but it took so much time to make it sit right to me, and I think in the end it was really worth it.

破碎的唱机，被安葬在锦簇的鲜花之下。刻录于胶片内的乐音在碎裂开的缝隙内蔓延流淌，缓缓渗入干涸的泥土。

液体内跳动的电荷，闪烁流动于排列规整的晶格之间，如同蜂巢内机械忙碌的工蜂，不知疲倦地搬运着粘稠的蜂蜜。

当太阳落下地平线的那一刻，碎裂的唱针会突然划过唱盘。嘶哑的音符沿着最后一缕微光坠入梦境，在梦中留下猫头鹰的羽毛，与牛角制成的船号。
