Relentless techno talent BEC has shot to the top in lightning speed with her high energy techno sets and productions. The UK-born, Berlin-based artist’s latest 4-track EP ‘Sixth Dimension’ on Filth on Acid hits all the right spots for techno fans. First up on the record is ‘Sixth Dimension’, a driving techno pumper with a scattered synth line and rave stabs that build euphotic anticipation and energy. Next in line is ‘Set My Body Free’, with bright and uplifting keys around a darker techno soundscape keeping the pace up. ‘Utopian’ follows on with heaving percussions and intergalactic synth lines. Sample heavy, jagged and cutty, the track takes a journey across multiple directions, creating a flurry of movement within. Closing out the EP is ‘Dialogue’: A quickfire snare drum sets a rushed energy for the track, while a booming kick and brooding baselines are set alight by industrial sounds. A commanding female vocal sample is used that commands the listener's attention. Released on 7th December, Indira’s latest work transcends the conventional boundaries of Techno across two celestial-themed club weapons…

Indira Paganotto and her ARTCORE imprint stand out from the crowd with an exponential sense of uniqueness, front-running pioneers of the new psy-influenced techno boom. Indira’s latest release, via ARTCORE, is a solid testament to that fact, exhibited masterfully across two individually brilliant club cuts on her ‘Heaven Is For Warriors’ EP.

Opening with the lead track, ‘Heaven Is For Warriors’ comes in hot with thumping drum grooves and crisp percussive drive, supplemented by ominously celestial undertones and rave-inspired musicality throughout - a sinister tirade of punchy electronic grit, marching to a racy tempo built for peak-time sets.

The release closes on ‘Requiem’, further playing on the darkened divine theme throughout the EP. Beyond its atmospheric intro, you’re greeted with a marauding flurry of watertight Techno goodness layered with synths, sirens, pads and much more.

There’s no denying Indira’s oneness when considering groundbreaking techno talents; her ‘Heaven Is For Warriors’ EP serves as a solid reminder of her commitment to trailblazing a path into the genre’s new and exciting age.

Indira Paganotto Launches ARTCORE’s First VA – ‘Face To Face Miami Week 2024’

DJ, producer and label head, Indira Paganotto will release ‘Face To Face Miami Week 2024’ on March 21st via her ARTCORE label. The ten-track album features an alchemic brew of hard dance styles concocted by a stellar cast of talent. In 2022, Indira launched her forward thinking imprint to further establish her brand of pulsing, high-intensity techno and to celebrate those artists who share her musical philosophy. After 7 releases, she looks to further make good on that promise with her label’s first VA.

BEC has reached the top of her game in a short time, after being head hunted by Pan-Pot, following plays at Burning Man, Tobacco Dock and The Warehouse Project. She is a ‘self confessed’ studio geek and wastes no time in setting the pace with opening track ‘Loca’. She constructs an Arabic-infused soundscape by juxtaposing enchanting vocal and flute melodies with rotating techno percussion. 

Luca Agnelli and Rian Wood collaborate for ‘Kiss Like This’ which for all its glossy vocal retains a visceral rawness amongst flashes of synth and unrestrained bass. Both hailing from Italy, Rian has drawn his influences from Hard Rave, Old School and Gabber. Luca is the founder of his Eturia Beat label since 2010 but has been featured on many more including NineTimesNine, Blackworks and Soma.

The appropriately titled ‘Lose Control’ by emerging new alias TEUTON does exactly that harnessed by the Digital Mindz original he applies his own take on the hardstyle number. A man behind a mask, mysterious in his identity, he started his music career over 30 years ago in the hardcore and goa trance scene.

Returning ARTCORE producer CHRS’ ‘Skeptical’ and brand-new artist PARKERSTRANGE with their track ‘123’ traverse a rave-psy-techno tightrope melding elements of each genre together in a cauldron of caustic electronica. Rich in style, and bold in its application of samples and atmospherics. The whole VA is intelligently executed, and this couldn’t achieved without artists like Italian multi-instrumentalist Giorgia Angiuli whose track ‘Ego Is The Enemy’ glides into life ascending through a melodic mist of fluttering dance motifs and monastic ambience. Giorgia is a live artist, and a classically trained musician who’s performed at Timewarp and Ultra.

Ecuadorian artist Lara Klart continues this vein of haunting but beguiling musicality on ‘Aleluya’ employing Miriea Clua on violin to instil a chordophone elegance atop a driving, deep techno pattern. 

Joining forces on ‘Power Of Silence’ Rhygar and Stëh collaborate for the first time, they provide a refreshing range of techno aesthetics. Including Zeshin’s ‘Sushy Party’, a new psy-trance alias by Mattia Trani, who’s sound is inspired by Japanese 00’s gaming. His track is fuelled by a giddy, anime like charm that stems from the sugar-coated vocals which dance across waves of juddering drums and cooling synths. 

The curtain closer, Joel Bird’s ‘Existentialism’ warps and surges with a celestial resonance amid a fusion of stomping claps a ceaseless percussion the track gently evanesces and fades into a calming ether. Joel is a young 20-year-old producer who’s work has been supported by KI/KI and Theo Nasa, this single marks his first release.

All tracks on the latest ARTCORE VA will be available on the 21st March.

Indira Paganotto is an unstoppable force in the music industry right now. After a killer 8-week summer residency at Amnesia in Ibiza for Metamorfosi, with a weekly line up curated by Indira, she took ARTCORE around the world, as the label expands at a rapid rate with a global tour spanning into the first part of 2025.

ARTCORE's presence at ADE was unavoidable, with their brand takeover of the X BANK store for their new winter merchandise launch, it only makes sense they return with a  colossal new VA release in November. A total of 20 tracks and 23 artists, ARTCORE ADE 2025 Vol.1 will be released on the 7th November.

Whilst ARTCORE welcome back artists on the VA who have already released on the label  including ZESHIN, Giorgia Angiuli, and Gray Cosmo, the other 7 artists are brand new. Four  of them are from Brazil, including Dudiish, Henrique Camacho, duo Special M and Tijah &  Dang3r, alongside Israeli trance producer California Sunshine and Nikrom Nataraj representing a remote town in the Himalayas.

Dudiish introduces the 10-track VA with 'Carolina Hi Tech'. By sampling samba anthem 'Carolina, Carol Bela', the Santa Catarina native stylishly weaves flamenco strings with punishing drum patterns employing a series of unpredictable peaks and troughs throughout. A dramatic shift in atmosphere follows with a brand-new artist, Unicorn Blood with their very first release 'Wandering Star'. The enchanting ambience forged early on from melismatic vocals and far eastern instruments soon clash with an onslaught of tough percussion, making for a gloriously inventive piece that traverses contrasting musical cultures. ZESHIN, the alias of Pushmaster Discs head Mattia Trani, pulls no punches with 'Game Over'. Unrestrained but still methodical, the Italian live maestro whizzes together a vibrant concoction of sprightly synth patterns which bubble away to a restless vocal sample in an effervescence of psy-laced electronica. 

California Sunshine's 'Ascending Light' is a fine example of such. A mercurial track that features an offbeat amalgam of whirring trance melodies, bending guitar licks and ethereal pads to produce a mesmerising electronic composition. Henrique Camacho, who's noted for his hi-octane, hi-tech style, brings a tornado-like swirl of energy with his contribution 'Clear Your Mind'. Swelling with unorthodox textures, the track hurtles through measures of safari effects, sitar scales and aquatic bass. 

Italian, multi-instrumentalist Giorgia Angiuli makes a welcome return with her enchanting, vocal-led number 'Rising'. With a tightly woven bass and kick at its core, the track steers proceedings towards a darker dimension by way of echoing, atmospheric synths and astral pads. Sao Paulo duo Special M, who are revered for their chart-topping psych-trance, consistently set a high bar with their music and 'By My Side' is no exception. Tense and brooding from the get-go the beat burns with a white-hot intensity as drum rolls loop around warbling basslines and the MC's blistering lyrics. 

As the VA reaches its final third, Tijah & Dang3r are at the ready with 'Om Namah'. By incorporating this most prominent of Hindu mantras, the duo cultivates a bewitching dance cut backed by a stirring drum beat and brimming with rippling, electro-rock musicality. The supremely talented Gray Cosmos' offer up a killer progressive techno wonder with 'Oyebe'. The track initially creaks with suspense but the tension lifts following the inception of a Cherokee inspired vocal arrangement that rings out over a twinkling soundscape of cosmic chords. 

At the final juncture of yet another beautifully diverse ARTCORE journey is Nikom Nataraj with 'Dance of the Lord Shiva'. An undeniably anthemic closer, the track captivates with its crying guitar solo that shimmers atop a snappy back beat of kicks and drone effects.

Giorgia Angiuli drops her powerful new EP "Rage Is A Feeling" on the mighty Filth on Acid label.

Born in Puglia, also known as the heel of Italy's boot, Giorgia is a classically trained musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist. She has dropped her techno heat on the likes of Stil vor Talent, Crosstown Rebels and Kevin Saunderson’s legendary KM while playing all over the world.

Rage Is A Feeling opens up with hard edged, slamming techno drums. Acid stabs and bright, euphoric trance stabs flash over the top of the mix, while saw tooth synths add drive and texture to what is a hugely emotional banger. My Power is more bouncy with a busy acid line, more raw synth stabs and a sultry vocal up top. It's hard and fast and sure to blow up any club.

This is another superb EP from Giorgia Angiuli.

In 2022, Indira Paganotto established ARTCORE with a clear vision in mind. The primary aim behind creating this label was to acknowledge and elevate the unique sound associated with Indira, which, until then, had not found a suitable representation in any existing label. It's widely recognized that this distinctive sound has been gaining rapid popularity and is finally receiving the recognition it rightfully deserves.

However, it's essential to note that ARTCORE will not be confined to a single genre. Instead, the emphasis will be on preserving authenticity and ensuring high-quality musical output. The label will serve as a platform that celebrates artistic expression, relevance, and musical heritage. Also, ARTCORE enables the opportunity for artists to be mentored directly by Indira is at the core of ARTCORE.
