Canadian Jonny White, acting Head of No.19 Music, is now the lone force behind the influential project that began as a collaborative effort with long-time friend Kenny Glasgow in 2009. The prolific producer’s original production style landed Art Department at the forefront of a major underground music movement, transcending genre barriers and forever altering the landscape of dance music. Their game-changing contribution to electronic music has been undeniable, garnering accolades such as #1 track of the year at the Beatport Awards in 2011 and iTunes #2 “Best Electronic Album” of 2011. Notable mention in wide-spread press, including The Guardian, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vogue, I:D, Nylon and Vibe Magazine who ranked art department the #2 DJ/Producers in the world in 2013, second only to Daft Punk, firmly established Art Department as a rarity in the world of electronic music.

Gabrielle Dominique is a Bay Area based DJ, mystic, licensed psychotherapist, writer and yoga/movement practitioner. She is inspired by the potential to weave art, trance states, storytelling, creativity, healing, dance and music in her mixes, and doesn’t see therapy, collective healing, and sonic journeying as separate or distinct. Her belief is that it is all the same — at the root, these experiences get us in touch with who we truly are by altering our perception and disrupting our default mode of thinking and relating. Her intention is to get people in touch with their Eternal Self and interconnectedness through the power of Sound, movement, music and connection. Gabrielle was born in Miami and her mixing is sonically influenced by the diverse culture and music there, as well as Detroit techno and Chicago house. Her father is a music-obsessed nerd and multi-instrumentalist, and is her deepest and initial inspiration. She’s been studying and exploring house music since she was 13, and continues to expand her taste and sonic territory by keeping her finger on the pulse with labels and artists that are shaping the landscape of techno and house music with their newest releases. She is on a continuous journey of learning how to honor the roots/origins of techno and house music and support the BIPOC and queer communities that made it the cultural movement that it is today. Her mixes tend to include sounds with Eastern influence, are typically deep and heavy, yet uplifting at once. You can expect a range of sounds… from progressive to soulful, disco to organic, melodic to deep, underground to afrohouse, minimal to techno, UKG to transcendental, and back again. What I found and somewhat already knew,  ...of where HOUSE MUSIC STARTED & How it had gotten its name.

The Warehouse (or the “House”) was a nightclub established in Chicago, Illinois in 1977 under the direction of Robert Williams. It is today most famous for being what many consider to be the birthplace “house music” under its first musical director,The Legendary  DJ Frankie Knuckles.

     But the Re-Birth of House Music includes all of US, those who craft and create their own individual experiences and form their own identity and lane (genre) in the evolution of House Music. For these visionaries I am grateful..Chicago, New York, Berlin, London, Ibiza, Tulum, South Africa & BEYOND, our global community who have come to heed the Call of the Drums ....We came for the Drums, but in them We found house +music+ LOVE
