It's structured as a companion for film, meditation, vision seeking & sound rest.

It's by nature a nature worship record, combing acoustic percussive improvisation, sensory foley, vocalized staccatos, and a specific brew of physical/metaphysical sound relations....mind hush/thought flush/spirit rush/sun rise.

Inspired by an initiation ceremony of the Bwiti/Fang people of Gabon. This collection relays a fragmented branch of timings of this ceremony. Plus proposes alter paths for the sacred (Mougongo) instrument.

Recoded + Restructured + Reflected as a time capsule.

MISH - Ode To Mushroom

We are happy to be back with the 30th episode of Podcats after a long break. For this occasion we have invited the talented Malmö-based DJ & producer Rumina. Originally hailing from Luleå with roots from Russia & Turkey,  she made her way into the south a few years ago. Over the years she developed a love for laying down tracks behind the decks and have been putting out her selections and is by now a well-known name in the club-scene in Malmö. Rumina currently has her own monthly show at Retreat Radio and Tukio where she spread her sounds through the ether. She is also a part of the FNGRLCKN-crew, who have made some noise in the scene lately with a diverse setup of members. Rather than letting genres be the guide, she plays with beats, textures and sounds in order to create action and movement in her mixes. Ruminas words about the mix: "This mix is inspired by astronauts that got sick and tired of their terrestrial love drama and therefore decided to never return to planet earth. Instead, they chose a path full of action, adventure, cute space dogs and sexy aliens.”  Enjoy!
