This is a recording of a couple of parties I played with my camp, Lip Service. I listened to them on the car ride home and confirmed my suspicion that splicing them together into a cohesive whole would be a good thing. Party 2 begins around the ~3hr mark. Gathering music and figuring out how to put it together to tell a story is my favorite thing to do. And it’s healing. This time I included film score throughout from a few movies I’ve seen recently, and played some tracks I’ve stored for 10 years or more and have saved for this moment. I hope you enjoy the journey.

Tulum Come Down

This mix is inspired by two incredible weeks I spent in Tulum, Mexico to begin the new year. I'm grateful to have been able to play music with some extremely talented artists, at some amazing venues, both indoor and outdoor.  From the pristine white sand beaches, to the tropical heat of the jungle, to the dusty pavement of the small town, one can really feel a magical connection with this land. We danced with passion, explored the jungle, swam in cenotes, slept on the beach, took naps in hammocks, ate phenomenal fresh local cuisine, watched the sunset and sunrise daily, and celebrated life with many beautiful friends, both old and new. This mix is dedicated to all those wonderful people. The sonic journey ends with a field recording I made on the last day; one final rain shower to wash away any and all remaining negative energy. I hope this mix relaxes you and takes you on positive journey, guiding you into a healthy and prosperous 2016.  ~ Sabo
