Arthur the Stoat are purveyors of independent rural pop who formed in 1992-3 in the Suffolk countryside.  They are comprised of multi-instrumentalists John "Fox", Tim "Tigger" Rafferty and Mike "Jackal" Bushell on vocals.  Over the period 1992-1994 they composed their initial repertoire and performed several memorable gigs, along with bass player Lucy Dickman, "Baby Moorhen" and dancer Timothei.  They continue to re-form every year or two and add to their canon of quirky, melodic music.  Mike went on to become the face of BBC Breakfast TV Sports and Tim and Pete maintain careers as field ecologists.
