From the depths of one of the hard disks founded in BD's studio we recovered an album with files created around 2014-2015. All these tracks were composed around the optical science theme and compiled under the optx (optics) name folder. 

Musically speaking you'll find a mix between electronica and experimental electro without the usual beats but keeping the vibe combined also with an advanced treatment of synthesis, including granular and timestretching massive programming methods and speech synthesis on voices. Sometimes the minimal sound approach reminds a THX1138 atmosphere surrounded by digital sounds and bleeps, textures of noise and drones create several places as if they were recorded in a clean and dry lab facility. 

As usual in Artificial Domain, this edition is released on CD and digital download only (Flac or uncompressed formats recommended) to enjoy all the audio spectrum, from ultra low ends to ultra high pitch frequencies which couldn't be possible on vinyl format.

It has been bubbling for almost four years now inside the walls of a basement in the small-town idyll of Salzburg. Word gets around about ecstatic nights in an intimate atmosphere in the Heizkeller location of the cultural association Freakadelle. The monthly events held by the club culture collective, which formed in 2011, have long since become known beyond city and state borders, and so, national as well as international guest artists would frequently pay visits to Mozart town in the last years. Following the club members’ wish to maintain relations to the artists beyond the fleeting transience of a night in the club, this release aims at strengthening and cementing these interpersonal ties. The compilation includes tracks by Hüseyin Evirgen aka Magna Pia (Cassegrain), Institut fuer Zukunft resident Perm, techno pioneer Patrick Puslinger and Pop theorist Didi Neidhart aka Low Profiler.Limited hand-stamped 12’’ edition. BIO:
Grebenstein is a musician, dj and graphic designer living in Kassel, Germany.
After playing in several bands as a drummer and guitarist he made his solo-debut with a 4-track EP Grebenstein on Downwards Records in November 2014. The follow-up to the debut was Strong Proud Stupid and Superior on Downwards, the mini LP featuring 'highly stylish, unrepentant brace of drum 'n synth noise pressure.' In 2017, Grebenstein released Gloss EP on SAMURAI Horo. His latest release was an EP called „raging tender“ together with Seefried on Downwards Records.

The first release of Collective Details, a new label project by A Thousand Details focusing only on the work of the people who hang on ATD Discord Server and Twitch Stream. Based upon monthly challenges for the Discord Members, the ideology behind the project is to boost creativity, collaboration, share knowledge and offer chances and launch new artists (but not only) on to the world so people know their work. Plus the most important thing is that all these releases are made and tailored by the discord community user. From Mastering, Artwork, Management, Promo and of course the Music. 

The firsts installments are 2 split VA with all the participants on the challenge: to do an original track with samples that were made while A Thousand Details was streaming on Twitch the new Mutable Instruments Blades filter back in December. The results couldn't be more amazing with a variety of styles and absolute commitment and passion to this project. Sometimes a chance is all it's needed to elevate one's creativity and will to finish projects and succeed in the music world. Everyone is welcome to participate as long as you are willing to join our discord and hang around.

Faith Disciplines and Subsist Records are two labels that have bet on the personal sound of Group, moreover, between these two platforms there is a good relationship and, although Subsist is a label oriented mainly to techno, it has always been open to other genres such as electro, industrial or experimental, on the other hand, Faith Disciplines is a label with a style designed expressly for experimental music, Lo-Fi and with sound elements of industrial. 

Both labels have released Group albums, but it was Subsist Records who discovered this enigmatic project, which after 5 years since its debut we still have absolutely no information about the artist or artists who embody it.

Perhaps, and to disorientate us even more, we can discover with this new album something more about their past. Agriculture is a different release, this time Group doesn't just stick to his degraded style and shows us that whoever is behind this project most likely had a past as a techno producer. 

The lack of brightness, optimal saturation and large spaces that provide effects such as reverb, are properties that usually possess the tracks of Group, therefore, we must be clear that we are not going to find a conventional techno, as each of the 6 tracks could be cataloged with a different subgenre of techno but, sonically we know that they have passed through the hands of this project.
