Artificial Dance founder Interstellar Funk releases Live At The Rest Is Noise - Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. Limited to 150 cassettes, the recording documents Interstellar Funk’s performance at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw concert hall in October 2021.


The 45-minute set ebbs and pulses, leaving behind Interstellar Funk’s penchant for hard-wearing club sounds in favour of melody and texture. Some passages mirror elements from the studio album Into The Echo (Dekmantel, 2022), but the live setting allows Interstellar Funk to expand and explore richly detailed sonic spaces that highlight his skills as a composer-performer.

Delighted to host Gamelan Psíquico Influence mix on Oddity Radio for @abstrakce

Gamelan Psíquico : I tried to select tracks/artists that blew my mind when I first listen to. Tracks that made me think " I want to release something like this on Abstrakce". 

I recorded the mix on a Thursday evening at my favorite bar in Valencia, MAT32, where I play records from time to time. Due to my actual lack of free time, the mix was totally improvised, I just picked up some of my favorite vinyls from home and went to the bar. Some vinyls have been played so much before that you will hear a lot of clicks and cracks. Sorry about that. 

I realized that a lot of the tracks or artists that first blew my mind are now part of the label. This consideration made me feel really well, thanks for driving me to that satisfying thought! 
I had to make an effort to leave out those musicians that are already involved in the label (for example Bitchin Bajas, K. Leimer, Marc Barreca, Finis Africae...). I just couldn't make it with Tolouse Low Trax. I always need some Tolouse, it's my religion. And we only released a remix from him, so we can’t really consider him as a part of the label... yet.

I played also a digital track from Poligono Hindú Astral, an old project from my labelmate Joni. I wanted to include it because Polígono influenced me at that time to listening more kosmische stuff.

Our next OYE podcast is something very special because it comes from our lovely team member Gaia aka Formella. She delivers a colorful mix that ranges from deep techno to breaks to UK-influenced beats.

Formella´s sets are known for their diversity and range, you can hear her musical knowledge gained from working in Berlin record shop OYE Records. Her sets are full of surprises, and never lacking energy. For her it’s all about connecting with the crowd and keeping them on their toes. 

London born, Berlin based, Formella has taken on the Berlin club scene by storm, playing at HÖR multiple times, including for a Typeless Records showcase, and venturing beyond Germany to renowned clubs such as Thekla in Bristol for Interplanetary Criminals UK tour and Ankali in Prague. 

She is now delving into the realm of electronic music production, honing her musical theory skills learnt from piano and side flute, to work on her debut EP.
