We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our talent pool, Magnus Asberg, who also runs his own French label Romana.

Magnus debuts on Artreform with a split with our founder JOSS: “Me To” EP includes the title track and JOSS remix, as well as an original offering by JOSS complemented by the version remixed by Asberg.

“Me To” treats the listener to the classic French house sound tinged with acid overtones. This sonic combo is well-presented and highly characteristic of Magnus’s Romana Records catalog and makes for a great crossover to the Artreform brand. The track delivers a clear-cut groove, cleverly pinpointed by a tight bass line. The top range is ornated with the classic TB-303 sonics and precisely inserted vocal lines. “Me To” sounds both like a good fit for a packed dancefloor and a small house party by displaying universal appeal.

Side A is wrapped up with Joss’ rendition of the title track. Arranged in the exemplary minimal house fashion with some progressive notes, it is underlined by a strong organ bass line. This work has a dramatic development to it, which culminates in a highly emotional breakdown.

Meanwhile, Side B takes a vice-versa spin on the first part of this release. The first track there is an original by JOSS called “Molecular.” The only major-key offering on this EP, this track brings something very special to the table. There is a hint of hip-hop sound in the middle of the groove to broaden the experience. Constructed as a highly danceable number, “Molecular” boasts an exquisitely laid-out groove and a tastefully oscillating bass line, expanded by trippy pads and synth stabs.

Rounding up the release, Magnus’s version of “Molecular” is as minimalist as it gets. The basic development is conveyed with the help of synth stabs, loaned from the original track version. Groove-wise, this is a perfect showcase of the classic Magnus take on arrangement duties. 
Artreform is delighted to share with you this multifaceted vinyl, envisioned and realized by this eventful duo, striking a perfect sonic balance to appeal to the audience. 

This split is dedicated to Ukraine and all the brave people standing up for this remarkable country and fighting for the truth and peace for the all democratic and civized world, in which law is valued and fulfilled by all.

Ukrainian artist JOSS returns with a new EP, this time in a split with Romana Records boss Magnus Asberg, each offering remixes of their original tracks.

The record opens up on JOSS's track, 'Significant',  built upon a deep house-laden groove, light percussion, and precise synths. The track is adorned with bright accents with stabs, a groovy bass line, and some catchy synth phrases. As the producer's original work leans toward the trippy and spaced-out sounds, it conveys a distinctive blissed-out sentiment that develops throughout the entire track, underlined by the devastatingly emotional breakdown in the middle part. The new episode of Artreform Vision transpires to be genuinely remarkable! 

The main twist of the show is the episode’s guest, Odessa DJ and sound producer RAYO, presenting a mix compiled solely of his own tracks. 

So, we should expect a plethora of unreleased and exclusive material and a great musical variety. 

A member of the well-known PORT community, RAYO creates tracks ranging from dancefloor minimal house to melancholic dub-techno, actively using broken rhythms and dark sounds of the London underground.

Each year by Christmas, I prepare a unique holiday compilation for my dear friends to treat them to an unfamiliar, unpredictable and exciting sound selection. This year I want to share the music you wouldn’t typically hear at festivals or club events we frequented. These records are not a regular weekly listen at venues, so this mix brings to the table the pleasure of experiencing music from a broader, varied perspective, especially during this magical holiday time.

Today I present you with a thematic space disco compilation titled ‘Christmas Admission.’ I hope you’ll enjoy my Christmas mix and experience true holiday magic, enhancing your perception of this new music.

Despite all hardships and challenges, I want everyone to be grateful for this past year. The last 365 days have made us perhaps the strongest nation in the world, and I am confident that these ultimate trials will lead us to the moment of truth.

Russian authorities and their population who silently sat out these catastrophic days will answer for these horrors they brought upon us and the world.

Dear friends, I wish you all the best, heaps of inspiration and strength, mental resilience, and victory this upcoming year!

Fresh of some hot collabs with Adam Port on Defected and Moderna on his own imprint Duro, our good friend @theusmago lands back on Correspondant with a full EP. 

These early 2000’s house-inspired tracks are full of groove and perfectly cut for the dancefloor. The infectious percussive rhythms and xx’s vocals will definitely put you in a warm and sultry trance.

On remix duties, an explosive duo ! Our dear @anna-gram is coming in hot by keeping ‘Eclipse’ infectious energy and bringing some of her own magical proggy-trance sound to the mix.

Public Possession’s wizard @djedenburns, purveyor of what he calls the ‘Big Beat Manifesto’, follows on the percussive side of ’X Control’ with a more stripped-down and deliciously trippy version.

Joss and D.Lamar have long been more than capable production brothers, often hooking up with one another to concoct delectable house-inspired gems. For their latest workout on Joss' Artreform label, the Ukrainian duo lock horns once more for an EP that's positively draped in shimmering overtones – and another one that suggests there's plenty of talent
to be found when you go out East.

Reevolution is the name of the EP in question, and while it may allude to some sort of political overtones, the one thing that'll leave you after listening to this EP is the statement of the music on offer. In original title form, ‘'Reevolution'' is dark and atmospheric but driving too, the sort of track which quite expertly plays on the talents of both producers. Full of mysticism and breathy vocals, it's restrained when it needs to be but also full-on on occasion.

On the remix front, the guys welcome Metodi Hristov to the table. His take on the track is more straight up and set towards a strict path, although it too isn't lacking in the ambiance stakes. Yet more excellent work from the label, we're quite sure you'll be digging this one for some time to come.

It is a well-known fact that the rings on some tropical trees can inform scientists about turning points in human history. And likewise, one can find and read the history of the Ukrainian electronic scene among the copies of records in the archives of the vinyl label Artreform. The needle drops, the record starts spinning, and as it revolves, one finds themselves moving on the legendary Heaven dancefloor, once described in Laurent Garnier’s Electroshock. Local crowd favorite DJ JOSS puts on his recently written killer acid track "Well Placed Trust," remixed by Israeli producer Chaim. The first record in the Artreform catalog is playing…

From one release to another, one can hear how tech house and house music have changed over the years. How club sensations of the 2010s went explosive (Boom Boom Room, L8 Park, Mantra); how Ostrov Festival was developing, and stars from Kyiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv established their presence on the musical map… To the present-day charity events at КУРЕНІ. Artreform music has always been played at those parties and within those walls.

Today, as they’re confidently approaching their landmark 50th vinyl release, label boss Jennie JOSS and his team are still full of desire to release and promote their favorite music. The label’s catalog already includes an all-star crew of local artists: IO, Harris, Outstrip, KiRiK, Raru, Silat Becksi, Alex Pervukhin, Rayo, Fedo, and JOSS’ self-produced releases. The internationals are as impressive as the local back catalog, including Robot Needs Oil, Frank Lorber, Christian Burkhardt, Daniel Stefanik, Djebali, Magnus Asberg, Priku, Mihai Popoviciu, Bushwacka!, Franco Cinelli, Tom Clark, Benno Blome. 

This roster is likely to be expanded with new intriguing names. Judging by how engaged the label is in defending the spirit of freedom in its homeland, Ukraine, there can be no doubt that the imprint is privy to some exceptional plans for the future.
