With the first quarter of Markus Schulz’s twelve month city series journey complete, the appraisals continue to mount. Following tributes to Miami, Bucharest, and most recently San Francisco, his focus remains in the state of California for the month of April. However, this particular spotlight welcomes a new adventure.

Along with good friend Ferry Corsten, Markus embarked on one of the highest accolades for any performing artist - showcasing one’s talents at the legendary Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio across two weekends.

In tribute, Markus highlights the enormous movement of electronic music in North America and beyond, catalyzed by a fledgling generation and yielding a new dimension of sonic emission. This Generation is for those hedonistic, feel-good moments, which can be enjoyed through the radio medium as much as the outdoor ambiance.

This Generation is ready to take over.

Part 2 of AVA’s 100th release combines 3 unique remixes for a varied selection of styles suitable for any set time. For the peak time 138 lovers, Subculture star Chris Metcalfe turns in a soaring uplifter filled with understated acid stabs, driving bass and airy lead synths. No doubt this will strike a chord for those loving their trance a bit harder. Second in the pack is label boss Andy Moor and his Eco mix. Andy twists the original into a less obvious rework, using a wide soundscape of vocal chops, plucks and a bass line that is aggressive and raw. To close out the package, AVA resident Somna works his remix down the route of a deeper affair. Markus Schulz's journeyed worldwide chronicles continue into the month of May, touching down in the subcontinent and the Indian city of Mumbai. 

A city with quite a story of its own, Markus pays tribute to the classic 1999 track Sweet Release by the Trouser Enthusiasts with his interpretation entitled "Bombay" - the old title of Mumbai.

The sixth entry in Markus Schulz's chronicled production series for 2015 focuses on a city very close to his heart; one which has played a hugely significant role in his life and career, and still does today. The English capital of London.

Stemming from a two year musical rehabilitation immersed in Brixton, Markus' storied career owes enormous gratitude to the vibrancy and club culture of London; most notably thanks to being home to the iconic Ministry of Sound fixture.

Firstly as a clubber, before returning with the honor of international resident, Markus holds the accolade with dear regard. And a key component has been those countless long nights in control of the musical landscape from the club's main room - The Box.

Therefore, it was only appropriate that as part of his city series vision, the MOS residency and the city of London would be highlighted with a melodic driving trancer to touch the soul, and as the title suggests, to become "Lost in the Box", within the confines of the world famous club.

This is Markus Schulz's ode to London.
