This musical venture was created at an Electronic Music Workshop in Chennai called SoundLabs in early December, 2013, under the expert guidance of Robert Koch and T.L.Mazumdar. My teammate Arun Varghese and I were given certain sound samples from the environment around us to make a track. These samples consisted of Elevator doors, Plastic sounds, Chennai Traffic and some simple flute melodies. The final track was themed to be a cultural tour of Chennai made by processing many of these sounds and layering our own influences tracks over them. 

This track aims to transport the listener into an elevator that moves all around this city and captures the essence of its varied sounds. Whether it be religious chants or funeral processions, noisy traffic jams or the calming sounds of Indian Classical music in the rain. These sounds that characterize the vibrant heritage of this city is have been glued together using the various elements of contemporary Electronic Music.
