"Felt very unreal – after almost 2 years of not playing – to be back behind the decks in an abstract, tropical scenery like Selectors. The first 30 minutes were just realising what was actually happening. After that, it was time to finally play and enjoy the tunes that were burning in my mind for the entire year and a half."

We are extremely happy to have her on board for this one, since she is easily one of our very favourite DJs! 🙏
Helena started out as a resident DJ at Pudel Club in Hamburg, a legendary space where she perfected her mixing skills that now make her one of the best djs in the world 🧨  

Over the last 10 years she has not only stuck to djing but also produced her own music, resulting in two albums that she released in 2015 & 2018 which were both widely celebrated, as well as several EPs. 

For Spandau20 she has delivered one hour of pure vinyl-mastery, full of electro / breakbeat gold and we couldn’t be prouder to share it with you today 🖤

@unklevonunklevon Unklevon is a producer based in France, signed on Boys Noize’s label: BNR. He was discovered during the Astropolis festival in 2018. He has since released tracks on Boys Noize Records but also on Jensen Interceptor’s label « International Chrome » in collaboration with Salome, but also on Dôme, the Astropolis festival label, and Nastia’s label « Nechto ».

Unklevon is considered one of the French newcomers to follow on the electro scene. Lucas performs mainly live and offers his own universe mixing robotic voices, electro & techno.

He is resident for Tsugi Magazine (Tsugi Radio) with his monthly program « Elektric Mansion ». Early 2022 he participated in the French tour Album tourof Boys Noize and made a remix for him, in March 2022 he released a remix for the last EP of Djedjotronic.

His latest EP was released on BNR in digital and vinyl with a collaboration with Brodinski. Playlisted on BBC RADIO 1, NTS, Rinse France or Tsugi Radio, his next EP will come very soon this year.

Djedjotronic at HÖR Berlin - Apr 23 / 2022

For our RA2122 series, we've been focusing on dyed-in-the-wool DJs paying tribute to the places that were most important to them. But what if you're an electronic music superstar and you didn't necessarily get your musical education in a club? That's how we come to Marie Davidson, a Canadian artist who counts among the world's most engaging and electrifying live performers, mixing techno with electroclash and post-punk for a sound that feels familiar but totally new at the same time. In 2019, she announced she was retiring from live club music, and then formed a band with fellow Montreal scenesters. But on her RA Podcast, she returns to dance music with a cannonball-sized splash.

To hear her tell it, Davidson only became interested in DJing recently—she's only been doing it for a few months. It's a new way for her to explore club music and also pay tribute to the artists she loves, without putting her whole self out there in the same way required of live performances.

But you could never tell that Davidson is new to DJing. Her RA Podcast is  a masterpiece of modern techno building and pacing, dipping into straight-up trance several times in a way that reminds us of Sasha's legendary Global Underground 013: Ibiza mix CD, with an hour of steady tension rewarded with one hell of a melodic payoff. She sounds like she's ready to play at some of the world's best clubs, proof positive you don't need to have the usual backstory to be an excellent DJ.

Soul and vulnerability: @fkam4a’s storytelling DJ sets are inspiring dancefloors

"This mix is pretty different from everything I’ve put out before! I’m genuinely so wired, my brain is always in 300 places – so for this one, I wanted to play around with the idea of slowing down. The tempo is slower but there are also a lot of slow and long transitions, some are 3 to 4 minutes at a time. There are also two tracks playing pretty much nonstop throughout, and it is pretty light on vocals, which is rare for me! Of course, it does build and peak, but I took chance to try something new and play around a bit."
