Vangelis Tribute Group Tracks

Shinwa

This track evolved from a first patch created on Arturia's CS80V, (the main sequence). From there I filled it out with the signature VP330 strings and choirs and some further CS80 horn calls and it took on a bit of "Blade Runner" feel.
I do love this Vangelis sound palette! As a fan its a joy to get lost in :)

Hades

Another track I made for moving image. This was for an animation based on the Greek myth of Theseus & the Minotaur. I wanted to try and capture that intense symphonic sound of Vangelis, the drama and the action.

Labrynth

In terms of capturing a Vangelis sound, I'm really happy with this one. Again as a fan of this sound it was a joy to make, and its nice to listen to these textures, and feel the mood. Very definitely "Blade Runner" inspired, again following a jazzy vibe like "Blade Runner" blues.
The Syd Mead artwork also evokes that rich textured world that Ridley Scott so successfully created.

Sidewalk Diner

Around 1985 Vangelis released the album Soil Festivities, which alongside Blade Runner probably ranks as one of my all time favourite Vangelis albums. I think this particular sound palette is what I wanted to capture with this track. An evolving symphonic piece that reflects the movements of nature.

Another "Blade Runner" inspired piece. 
Bradbury building, dark, dank, puddles, roving spotlights, Roy Batty emerging from lift...

Search Lights

This cassette tape rendering has a lovely artifact glow about it and sends you to an age of warped psychedelic vibes and warm nostalgic frequencies!

I'm delighted to announce the first release on Bandcamp from "As By Eden" (https://soundcloud.com/as-by-eden) a collaboration project between Shaun Rylands (https://soundcloud.com/rylo-3) and myself.
We first started making tracks back in 2013, having a shared musical interest and a great admiration for old school electronica, especially Nemo era Vangelis, and Tangerine Dream. This first release features tracks that encapsulate this inspiration.

As By Eden - "And When The Rain Comes" (Album Preview)

Original electronic music inspired by the sounds originating between circa 1972/ '82.
I mostly make music now by improvising it live, you can find a lot more of my work on YT.

As By Eden is a collaboration project of Shaun Rylands and Peter Baldwin, two electronic Musicians/ Producers from the UK (Spectrum Shift & S. A. Fred respectively). Both are avid fans of old school electronica as typified by Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre and Kraftwerk.
Shaun and Pete met on Soundcloud and started making ABE tracks in August 2013, releasing "Towards The Setting Sun" a track that took in elements of old school Synth Electronic and IDM/ Glitch. Since then, each track has explored and evolved the sound, though it remains firmly planted somewhere between electronic circa 1976/ '82 with occasional flurries back and for to something more contemporary!
