Tabarruj is defined as an impermissible display of one's beautification.

Allāh mentioned:

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ قُل لِّأَزْوَٰجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَـٰبِيبِهِنَّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

- Reflecting upon the verse, “O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islām), Allāh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him…” [Sūrah al-Mā’idah 5:54]
- The chain of events that occur when Allāh loves a slave.
- Striving to attain the love of Allāh.
- A mention of some characteristics Allāh loves.
- Places that are beloved to Allāh.
- Names Allāh loves.
- Two words that are beloved to ar-Raḥmān.
- Actions that are beloved to Allāh.
- The most beneficial of the people.
- Measuring ourselves against these āyāt and aḥādīth.
- Striving to look for opportunities that will build our communities and strengthen our ranks.
- The meeting between Abū Idrīs al-Khawlānī (رحمه الله) and Mu’ādh b. Jabal (رضى الله عنه).
- Those whom Allāh has made his love obligatory for.
