BACK TO LOVE

¿Cuál es el primer deber del hombre?  La respuesta es muy breve: ser uno mismo y vivir cada día como si fuera el último. 

DJ Mon G first entered the circuit scene in 2017 when he attended Reload after hours in Los Angeles, but it wasn’t until he heard the tribal sounds of veteran circuit DJ Nina Flower’s that he became a true fan of circuit. From that moment onward, he leaned into his newfound passion of exploring the world of circuit over 5 years of traveling to circuit festivals around the world. 

After several years of being a partygoer, DJ Mon G felt inspired to learn to mix and DJ circuit music himself. He bought DJ equipment and traveled to Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara in Mexico to learn Latin American circuit sounds and vibes by immersing himself in the local circuit culture. In Mexico, he met many talented circuit DJs and producers such as Ivan Guzman, Erick Ibiza, Eddy Rodriguez, and Diego Alvarez. And after 4 months of self-training, he felt ready to return to Los Angeles. 

DJ Mon G had his first DJ gig in front of an audience in the Los Angeles underground scene. After impressing his peers he was booked for several other parties including opening for his friend DJ Calypso who had been helpful in showing DJ Mon G basic DJ skills in the beginning. DJ Mon G’s sound of blended Latin and American hard tribal beats was well-received by partygoers, which lead to his biggest opportunity at the time—opening for Dan De Leon. DJ Mon G has since performed in several cities including San Francisco for the Love party by Ardila presents where he opened for respected DJ/Producer Allison Nunes, and Dallas for the Diesel after party. 

In 2021, after attending his first El Mozo Halloween festival in Bogotá, Colombia, DJ Mon G participated in private DJ training sessions with one of Colombia’s best DJs, Andres Santox. During his time in Colombia, DJ Mon G also met several other popular DJs in the region including Nitro, OBY, JMO, Andres Moor, and DJ Bernal. In 2022, DJ Mon G began to split his time between the United States and Colombia to learn about Colombian sounds in circuit music. 

DJ Mon G’s sound blends Brazilian Tribal, American Tribal, Electronica, Pop, House, and Hip-Hop. When performing, you will find DJ Mon G always wearing his signature look bandanas as a ode to his formidable years as a “circuit boy” and a reminder to always have fun, smile, live free, and dance.
