I had a dream that lock down due to the pandemic was going to last three years and COVID trying to take us out everyday so decided to bring my dreams deferred forward to share my unique light with the world and beyond. 🤩We Creatives and Artists have more time to do what we love & practice to strengthen our craft(s) Just Do It! Let's Be Great! 🤩Let’s help one another be Great! (There is enough for everyone TRUST! Even though the hoarding toilet tissue quagmire was trying to make us feel otherwise😆) 

About Me
Born in Brooklyn, New York, but raised between the twin island of Trinidad & Tobago & the USA, my uncle blasting Soca & Parang music every day in Trinidad; & my mother’s massive 12”&45 RPM vinyl record collection in NYC formed my beginnings of loving music & loving my singing voice including my good ear for mimicking. From Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Nina Simone, Chuck Berry; to Marvin Gaye & Anita Ward etc., my music listening & singing was eclectic. (I loved Elvis Presley singing & acting at the same damn time & Barbara Streisand too! Fabulous soundtracks! 

My mom worked as a nurse & left me with a Jamaican family in NYC during her 12-hour shift & my love of Reggae music & Patois emerged. Patra, Lady Saw, Shelly Thunder, Shabba, Tiger, Bounty Killer, Beres Hammond, Bob Marley & much more became synthesized on my neurons. As I matured in life & in music, R&B, New Jack Swing, House &Neo-Soul became my loves & my best friends. (I am an only child;-) My hyper activity made me open to all things creative as an outlet. I wanted to do it all. In my head, I was / I am a triple threat performer, singer/dancer/actor because I could not pick just one. I loved/ I love it all.

During HS&College I tinkered with vocals with ASCAP award winner Erika Nuri & her brother Oji Nuri (Though I don’t think they would even remember me or how they helped me even when we were just hanging out & partying;-) They both learned music from their Music Executive father Erik Nuri & their Godfather Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and I can only hope I got some of what they learned via osmosis when we hung out and had jam sessions with their friend "Do" or just played good music & danced at their NYC residence. I still remember them showing me a simple lesson in cadence by playing a record they made as children called "Come to Allah." #Priceless (give people their thank yous, accolades and flowers NOW people says COVID #Message!) 

In 2018 I started Vocal Training with industry leaders, namely classically trained Grammy nominated & Grammy Award winning Vocalist, Actress and Vocal & Life Coach Chrisette Michele. The undivided time and attention this lady gives to her www.RichHipsterUniversity.com students is unmatched. I can't thank her enough for her guidance. (Again give people their thank yous, accolades and flowers NOW people says COVID #Message!) I am currently also booked with reputable R&B/Urban Vocal coaches- Stevie Mackey online; & Clurel Henderson on zoom
