Gens d'ici, de loin et de nulle part, nous sommes heureux de vous présenter un tunnel qui résonne fort dans nos têtes. Cette semaine, on découvre l'artiste Dju:n qui nous livre sa vision du son électronique : du rythme, du break et un savant mélange d'influences.

Dju:n se lance en tant que DJ en 2019 et se fait remarquer grâce à la duplicité des styles musicaux qu’elle joue. Elle s’est dans un premier temps révélée avec des sets Post-Rock, EBM et Electro puis s’est au fur et à mesure ouverte pour proposer de la Trance, de la Deep Techno, de la Ghetto Techno ou encore de l’Italo Disco. Il y a malgré tout un dénominateur commun dans sa musique, c’est son goût pour les morceaux galvanisants et son mélange audacieux de styles qu’on a trop vite fait d’opposer.

Elle a déjà eu la chance de fouler les scènes de La Suite et du Vauban à Brest et a proposé des podcasts pour les émissions B-Side Airlines sur Radio U et Önd puis Electro Lab sur C Lab.

La recette de cette cuisine haute en saveur vous est données directement par Dju:n qui illustre parfaitement ses inspirations :
« En ce moment, j’écoute beaucoup de Ghetto Techno, de Drum & Bass, de Jungle,... Quand je mixe, j’aime jouer avec les voix, les intensités, les changements de styles, créer un univers varié mais cohérent. Ici, j’ai préparé un set qui change un peu de ce que j’ai pu proposé auparavant, je suis partie dans quelque chose d’un peu plus sombre, plus rapide, en faisant se rencontrer différents styles comme la Trance, la Ghetto ou encore
le Hardstyle.

Depuis quelques semaines, je suis beaucoup le travail de Maté, Sewerslvt, MCR-T ou encore Amor Satyr que j’ai évidemment intégrés dans mon set. Ce sont des artistes qui ont un univers très marqué, reconnaissable, qui produisent des tracks fortes et uniques, et ça me parle beaucoup ! »

Across the ‘Trans Pacific Acid’ EP Troberg delivers a variety of acid-infused styles from frenzied, bleepy, distorted cuts like ‘Sygnal’ and ‘Tribute To Everything’ through to more experimental approaches on ‘Stomach Acid’ and ‘Carpet Floor Acid’, while ‘’Believe in the Power’ embraces a more classic 4/4 Acid House feel.

Soma continues to push the boundaries as they announce a new electro sub-label Avoidant – designed to push dynamic and diverse sonics from across the globe. Already with 6 releases under its belt from duo CYRK, Scottish new blood PinballSpider and Autonomous, future stars Syrte & Confluence their roster is steadily growing with fresh talent.

For the label’s next release and its first on vinyl, Kronos Device return in fine form for their first EP in four years ‘The Infinite Ones’ with a bass-heavy, BPM busting electronic gem; synonymous with their sound. Simon Brown (aka Dexorcist) and Phil Klein (aka Bass Junkie) joined forces in 2001 after pre-establishing themselves as major names in the underground scene.

Hyperqub3 throws the listener into a the deep-end sonically with funked up beats and electrostatic vocals slicing through gut-pounding bass that drives through the heart and instantly increases the bounce - all held together by hyperspatial SFX.

Track 2 delves into more heady, cerebral sounds. The title track of the EP, The Infinite Ones’ ripping synth sequences, dramatic pads and pulsing vocal riff is a supremely-produced nod to the duos versatility.

The EP culminates with Control - heavy distortion makes the 808 bass work hard, while robotic overtones and formidable synths command the track. The Infinite Ones is an expertly produced electronic EP that undoubtedly proves Kronos Device as pioneers of the genre.
