Next up on Saved Records is a release that we have been super excited to share with you, and one that label boss Nic Fanciulli has been hammering in every set. We welcome RETNA to the family who teams up with Nic to deliver their brand-new collaborative single, ‘This Is Life’. Although fairly early on in his career with his first release surfacing in 2019, RETNA has gone on to release on some of the most respected labels in the industry including Toolroom, Mr. Carter, Virago Records & Toolroom Trax alongside his own label BOTAR Records and has received support from established artists including Adam Beyer, Skream, Carlo Lio, De La Swing, Ida Engberg, Huxley and more. ‘This Is Life’ showcases RETNA’s distinctive raw and intrusive dancefloor sound with hypnotic vocal chants and a grooving bassline combined with Nic Fanciulli’s Afro drums, rave-inspired synths, thundering kicks, and a rumbling low end throughout. It's another label debut for Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records this November from American DJ and producer duo Max Styler and Kyle Walker who team up to deliver their brand-new single, 'Give It Up'. Both artists, although relatively early on in their careers have achieved huge success with recent releases on an impressive line-up of AAA labels including Toolroom, REALM, Love & Other, Dim Mak, Ultra, Repopulate Mars, Sink or Swim and more, alongside playing sets at some of the World's biggest stages; Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, Coachella, Space Ibiza, Hakkasan, Nocturnal Wonderland and EDC Las Vegas. 'Give It Up' is a driving euphoric club cut, packed with bundles of energy and attitude taking you straight to the dancefloor. Premiere: Michael Reinboth - Morbus Mütze (Curable Piano Version) [Compost Records]

I recorded these, using only the Roland T8 drum machine, outside as it got dark.
The first one I did at the beach in Crete (130 bpm) and the second one, a week later, in a park in Vienna (120bpm).
These spontaneous sessions are so much fun, specially at such beautiful places.
