'A newcomer DJ from Munich. With a focus on minimal, deep, groovy techno with driving basslines and twisted psy elements is my musical passion. For a year now, I've finally been taking the energy from the dancefloor behind the decks to create an atmosphere in which we can vanish together on a journey into space.'

This performance was recorded on 2x XDJ-700 & DJM-700 at Voie Alternative's headquarters, Le Repaire, located in Quebec City, Canada. The set was originally played at Le Cercle on NYE 2018.

Papi Gonzo VS SinEsthetic - Hypnotech Synthesis DJ Set

After a magical Friday night which was full of dancing, Götz stumbled past the Turmbühne back stage to get his bike and to say goodnight to his mate Mazen, before he cycled direction bed.

Mazen is one of the sound engineer at Turmbühne, and there was some action going on because Marc Romboy hadn´t shown up yet and was due to play the next set. As if in a puff of magic smoke, Bratenscheider and Switchbox fusioned a spontanious back to back set for the next 2 and a half hours.

These two have known each other for quite a long time, and are both DJ´s and producers, but had never played together before. 

Any thoughts of sleep dissapeared as the first track played to the radiant dancefloor.
Their set was full of energy and yet groovy in the right place.

We later learnt that Marc had come down with a really bad flu and he had to leave the Fusion to take care of himself. He has now announced via an Instagram message, that his Fusion set is now scheduled  for 2019.

Als Götz am Samstag Morgen nach einer magischen und tanzreichen Nacht in sein Bettchen wollte, stolpert er noch kurz in den Turmbühnen Backstage um sein Bike abzuholen und seinem Buddy Mazen gute Nacht zu sagen.

Mazen bestritt gerade seine Schicht und es herrschte ein wenig Aufregung, da Marc Romboy als nächster Act auftreten sollte, er aber noch nicht anwesend war.
Von da an ging alles sehr schnell. Wie in einem Rausch fusionieren Bratenschneider & Switchbox hinter den Decks und schüttelten ein 2,5 stündiges Set aus den Ärmeln.

Die 2 kennen sich schon ewig, sind beide Produzenten und DJ´s, haben noch nie zusammen gespielt, also ab dafür. ☺

Die Müdigkeit war nach dem ersten Track vergessen, die Sonne und die Crowd glühten.
Das Set ist „energetisch vorwärts“ und „groovig im Hier und Jetzt“ zugleich.

Wie später bekannt wurde,  ist Marc von einer Virus–Grippe heimgesucht worden. Er war sogar schon Vorort, aber konnte leider nicht spielen. Dafür wird er aber 2019 sein Fusion-Set nachholen, wie er in seinem Instagram Statement bekannt gibt.

To start the new week with a good mood despite Christmas, you all need some damn good music.
And that's exactly what we've been searching for and found especially for you.
Papi Gonzo, a pretty talented Canadian DJ, takes you on a more than two hour trip, full of psychedelic, technoid music mixed with incredible creativity. The mix takes you for the runtime into the festival summer and out of the pre-Christmas reality.
Have a lot of fun listening, it's absolutely worth it.


Damit ihr alle trotz Weihnachten mit guter Stimmung in die neue Woche startet, braucht es schon verdammt gute Musik.

Ash Roy’s career spanning two decades has made him one of the most progressive and revered artists. His style moves through minimal and techno with a pinch of psychedelia, tied up elegantly with percussions. Engaged in both Germany's and India's underground techno circuits, Ash has delivered distinctive hybrid sets across Europe, Australia, the USA, and Asia. His deep-seated passion for minimal techno shines through his releases on various labels. His releases appear on labels such as Dark Face Recordings, Trapez Ltd., Alpaka Muzik, Techgnosis, Gain Records, Frequenza, Phobos, Ballroom Records, Jannowitz, Hydrozoa, Bully Beatz, and his very own Soupherb Records, to name a few.

Ash made a significant impact with his debut at the Netherlands’ Awakenings in 2017, earning a return invitation the following year. In 2019, he debuted at Esoteric Festival Australia, leading to an extensive six-gig tour across the country. His performance at Fusion Festival's iconic Turmbühne stage in 2021 marked another milestone, along with his debut at Germany's Wurzel Festival.

The summers of 2022 and 2023 saw Ash gracing stages at prestigious festivals such as Fusion Festival, Esoteric Festival Australia, Hai in den Mai Festival (Germany), Bucht der Träumer Festival, Gaggalacka Festival (Germany), Master of Puppets (Czech Republic), Château Perché (France), Praerie Festival (Germany), Wurzel Festival (Germany), and Zouav’Fest (France).

In 2024, he was once again invited to Fusion Festival to perform at the Palast der Republik stage and made his debut at Antaris, Evolution Festival and Rave the Planet.

In 2013, Ash launched Soupherb Records, which has since become India's leading minimal techno label, boasting over 220 releases from artists worldwide. This showcases his dedication to promoting forward-thinking and experimental music.
