Asher Blank is the solo project of emerging NYC-based producer Will Cabaniss, whose vocal-driven pop ties together angular melodies and futuristic production in tight packages of theatrical storytelling.

Cabaniss began making music while growing up in New York and singing with the Young People's Chorus of New York City in the late aughts. He began posting beat tapes to Soundcloud in 2010 under a variety of monikers (including "William, The Curator," an homage to Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator), and released a first foray into pop production and songwriting on his 2015 EP Loose Ends.

Cabaniss developed his unique interpretive arranging style while leading Voices in Your Head, a competitive collegiate a cappella group at the University of Chicago. After college, he was hired by Grammy-winning Pentatonix producer Ben Bram as a director at A Cappella Academy, the prestigious summer vocal training program in Los Angeles. 

The Asher Blank project was born in 2022 after two years of experimentation and discovery amid the pandemic, introducing the voices of Cabaniss and his collaborators to a sonic and visual landscape rich with emotion and grounded by textured, thumping production.

Sometimes it seems almost effortlessly, how Rampa is not only detecting, but shaping the zeitgeist of clubsounds. The man has done it on various occasions. Not only that. In a no less unerring fashion he happens to find the best company to vocalize that very state of the art. It once again all comes together here on his „Les Gout“ EP. He’s teaming up with Chuala, a genre defying voice and brightly shining figure of all things contemporary, to lay down„Les Gout“, a track perfectly balancing groove, elegance and irresistible floor-appeal. In congenial addition, it also features features Keope on guitar. The tune already has become a much requested standout in Rampa’s sets, designated to become a standout in everybody else’s sets over the coming weeks and months.
