Der Werdegang von Solidmind führte den deutschen Produzenten durch Genres wie Deep House und Afro House, durch orientalische Obskuritäten und melodische Verflechtungen. Kein Wunder, dass da-bei letztendlich Reisemusik vom Feinsten herausgekommen ist. Seine mystischen Flächen, Flötenklän-ge und von Wüstenstaub angehauchten Saiteninstrumente erzeugen einen meditativen Fluss. Im Rhythmusbereich rufen archaische Perkussions und fettleibige Bässe einen gedankenverlorenen Bewe-gungsdrang hervor, in dessen zeitloser Ur-Energie die Stimmung eines Rituals brodelt. Die drei Tracks auf dieser EP funktionieren wie die Kapitel einer Geschichte: Sie haben die gleiche Seele, bringen aber jeweils eine andere Seite zum Ausdruck.

The evolution of Solidmind took the German producer through genres like Deep House and Afro House, through oriental obscurities and melodic meshings. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that his productions take us on a trip. His mythical pads, his flute sounds and the desert dust that swirls around the chords of his string instrument create a deeply meditative vibe. The rhythm section is heavy on archaic percussions and heavy on the bass, causing an involuntary itch to get moving as if we were caught by a compelling primal energy. The three tracks on this EP are like the chapters of a story: They share the very same soul, but each one gives expression to a different aspect of it.

Honing a signature sound that combines her own production, exquisite self-recorded vocals, writing and composition, rising artist Ashibah and her unique, innate musicality is breaking through the standard house music mold.  

 

Inspired by her rich cultural heritage, Ashibah hails from Denmark with roots in Cairo, Egypt where she lived up until 19 before recently relocating to Brazil that has become like a second home to the musician.  

 

Ashibah’s talent delivers the full package that inspires her peers. Her solo hits like Devotion on DFTD have skyrocketed, landing a no.4 on Beatport and support from Monki, Sam Divine, David Penn, Gorgon City and others. Her track On the Line with Saffron Stone, garnering support from Danny Howard and Charlie Hedges on BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM. Continuing to excel, Ashibah’s  has already clocked up releases with D4DNCE, REALM Records, Nothing Else Matters, Armada and collaborated with Beatport Sounds and Loopcloud to bring producers her debut sample pack ‘4.E.V.E.R’. Her next project is a 3 track EP on Lane 8’s This Never Happened.  

 

Having already taken South America by storm performing at festivals like Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio, Só Track Boa, she started making her mark this summer in Europe debuting at Hii and Amnesia in Ibiza and performing at festivals like Distortion, Juicy Beats, Northside and Summerburst. Ashibah’s explosive energy and refined live sets are sure to cement her positioning as one of dance music’s must-know acts.
