"Seafoam; that froth of agitated seawater teeming with decomposing sea creatures, and the new collaborative EP from Boston-based Lunática, and Berlin’s FiFi. Does anything link this musical experience and natural phenomena?
The duo have three tracks that will churn up dancefloors. From the steel drums of ‘Seafoam’, dragged up from the ocean floor, only before sinking back down, to ‘Raft of Angels’ siren song of harps, both of which are battered away by waves of distorted drums. We end with ‘SubRosa’ where the melody has washed away leaving only percussion to keep us afloat.
After this we have each artist turning in remixes. FiFi throws the harp off the Raft of Angels and takes it ‘Past The Cusp’, into full blown drum workout. Lunáticia digs in the ‘Obvious Thorn’ to SubRosa and pulls out forlorn strings that buoy over the percussion. Rounding it all out with DC’s LIMITBREAK! bringing a ‘Rising Sun’ over Seafoam, making the churn into a whirlpool while light washes across it.
Or maybe, it’s just six dancefloor weapons that you’re not gonna wanna miss out on."
