Reboot Caminando Dario D'Attis Rework

DHP is very delighted to – finally – announce the release of Sander’s debut track, “Elements of Life”.

The track first started as an experiment around a pop song sample, that quickly got dumped away as creativity quickly led Sander and his friend DKO to another direction, telling a different story. It is the story of the genesis of Earth and life, starting with percussion, as particles turning around, leading to the consolidation of the Earth (enter the beat and bass), and, finally leading to the apparition of Life (Synth melody).

The song has been produced with his long-time friend and fellow music composer DKO, and is clearly at its best when played loud in a club venue with the right sound system. Sander kept this in mind when putting the elements of the track together, letting enough space into the track to leave each part breath and fill the space naturally. Listening to it on a Dancefloor is a truly striking delightful experience to go through and will not leave people indifferent.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Released back in 1991, it's still for me one of the most seductive house records ever...

A few things gigwise for February. As well as the usual bit's at West London's 'The Regent' and East London's 'Big In Japan' night, I'm also playing for the Shameless Disco boy's at The Drop in Stoke Newington alongside rising star Ben Sun, really looking forward to that.

The enigmatic multitalented Greek producer has been a regular on many top labels showcasing his huge originality and versatility. On his return to ICONYC, Jorgio delivers a great hypnotic monster called 'Octomore', a modern house jam that pushes all the right buttons. The deep progressive house roller fuses synth chord stabs a pounding drums, clinical percussion and a pretty powerful lead line, perfect for those peak time moments. It's all about the progressive house vibes and the melancholic beats that are working their magic around Jorgio's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip.

Columbian Soluna, famed for his intricate and refined productions is first up. His rework creates tension from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that keeps building to culminate into a true prime time club monster. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up is Clubsonica head honcho Juan Pablo Torrez, known for his polished and refined sound, who keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding totally fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious groove graces the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove, confirming that Juan really is a man at the top of his game.

Cid Inc. returns to his Replug Records imprint for the much anticipated follow-up to his chart topping ‘Abyss'. Released in April of this year, the peak time opus enjoyed a two week long stay atop Beatport's Progressive House tracks chart. Aided by months of live play from Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J, the boundless eight minute journey firmly sits as one of the year's best in progressive house. Now as the summer season winds to a close Cid Inc. presents the much anticipated follow-up entitled ‘Bird Cherry'.

For an artist who has captured the imagination of progressive music fans for over a decade, Cid Inc. has raised the bar yet again with ‘Bird Cherry'. From its lively beginnings you're immediately captivated as tight beats, buoyant bass tones and finely tuned percussion converge for the ultimate rhythmic wave. Sparse yet timely, ghostly effects add further anticipation before crunchy stabs steal the air as the main break commences. The centerpiece shifts the narrative into emotive territory as blissful harmonics and warm chord changes lead to a swirling synth vortex for the ages.

Equally stunning is the companion piece ‘Fear and Square'. Opening up with a punchy yet warm groove, Cid Inc's finest production hallmarks are on top form here.
