Vistas is the electronic audio collaboration of musicians Joshua Nagle and Owen Cartwright. The duo’s collaboration begins in midcoast Maine when Josh moved to Camden after the two met at college. They began playing experimental electronic music in an area with little exposure to the genre, and quickly gained a lot of attention. The largest pull to new listeners being the wide variety of acoustic & electronic samples used in their arrangements, creating rich and vibrant combinations of rhythms and melody. Pulling from a wide variety of musical genres the Vistas sound can evoke headphone listenability while maintaining a magnetic presence in performance. The combination of Owen’s background in music composition and jazz coupled with Josh’s meticulous attention to production, has sparked a collaboration full of ingenuity and presence in the genre.
