Parallax formed in January, 2012. The members include Brendan Edwards on keys and synths, Jon Hudgins on guitar, Hardage Lewis on drums, Chris Wallace on bass guitar, and Shane Mitchell on guitar and vocals. 

They have many influences, however, the main ones are Incubus, Umphrey's McGee, Moon Taxi, and Tea Leaf Green.
