Sintesi session 03 invited Velours Collective to Arkaoda Berlin to curate and create a sonic narrative on Sunday, December 5th 2021.

This is the first published session from that night, with JAJA. 

@jajaamusic , member of the High Ends label (Berlin, Paris), Matthieu Jeannel alias JAJA has acquired a lot of experience behind the turntables for more than 10 years. He had the opportunity during his residencies to play with Tobias, Andrew James Gustav, The Ghost or even at Zendid parties at the Club der visionaere. Now based in Berlin, he also devotes himself to his other passion, music production.

Sintesi
is a new series of sound and food listening sessions where carefully crafted recipes are served by ( parentesi ) to later on move downstairs where selected musicians and sound artists are invited to create an atmosphere of delicate and tactile nature.
Sintesi is a project by recordat, radiocircolo and ( parentesi ), and a live radio program on @radioalhara.

The sun is burning and the nights are vibrant as we are taking another ride on the wave. 

For this sundays edition we awaited the cool breeze and shadows of the dusk to present to you a special weekender delivery by Ashwini. Driven by a strong passion, the zürich based DJ is digging deep into the crates and displays a diverse access to music and emotion. 
In a medidative selection of introspective, slow burning movements, she aims to tell a personal story as an invitation to open doors to the inside. We are thankfully receiving the warmth of these waters and are already looking forward for whats to come.

The COVID-19 virus keeps the world in a gridlock, but instead of accepting to stand still, we try to productively move forward. 

The numerous nation-wide measures to slow the spread of the virus have an impact on our everyday lives, but lowering the number of infections needs to be the number one priority right now. 

In the case of cancellations of events such as concerts, dj gigs, performances in theatres, etc. – also on a number of artists who make their living from such shutdown events.

The musicians of Zurich‘s electronic music scene love to perform and they rely on these gigs to cover the cost of living.  

Even if we are not allowed to travel for now, our music sure can. That is why we came up with this self-organized stream for Zurich’s electronic music scene.

Without being bothered by hierarchies and instead with what’s best for the collective in mind.

Along the way, we may even have found a way of paying artists in a fair and transparent manner by evenly dividing all donations that come in.

You can enjoy the sets wherever you are in safe distance and support the DJs with a donation.

All donations will be evenly distributed among all DJs and the donation balance will be shown transparently after the mayhem is over.

At the time when we launched this stream – 5 hours after the press conference where the closure of event spaces was declared – there were no measures announced to absorb the economic effects for artists and self-employed individuals. 

Since then the Swiss government has announced new measures to help these groups too. 

The donations will still be evenly distributed, but optionally, should a DJ no longer need the donation, he/she can decide that we should donate it to one of the causes stated below. 

Social distancing doesn’t mean we have to be alone. Now more than ever.

Ashwini durfte ich über das Zürcher Frauenkollektiv F96 kennenlernen. Sie bringt in ihrem Set so viele diverse Geräusche, Stile und Stimmungen in einen Fluss zusammen, was mich ziemlich flasht.
Für diesen Mix hat Ashwini die meisten Tracks vom englischen Label „touched music“ zusammen gemischt. „Touched music“ ist ein non-Profit Label, das alle Einnahmen an die Macmillian Cancer Organisation spendet.
