He put respect and honesty above everything.  Co-Dean, a rap artists from the MO, started out in film production, shooting videos, and promoting for other artists. The versatile artist went from being a troubled youth and having several run ins with the law to jumping head first into the entertainment business.  Co-Dean was a self taught business man at the early age of 17.  12 Mixtapes, 12 documentaries, and 3 movies later he's put his mark on Missouri in a short amount of time.  After working so hard representing unfocused rappers Co-Dean picked up a mic and started releasing music.  5 years later Co-Dean has a firm hold on the crown of southern Missouri.  With his unique voice, witty intelligent lyrics, great song concept writing and his ability as a master of the hook Co-Dean is industry ready.  After accumulating 2.5 million youtube views, Co-dean ventured out to other states in search for artists who has a similar drive and skill for the business.  He called this group Ape Squad. Ape Squad had one mission.  That mission was to bring back real music. Ape Squad adopted the real nature of gorillas.  Family oriented, protective, strong, and intelligent individuals.

Co-Dean was born Cobret Lamar Joe on October 26, 1987. The artist derived the name Co-Dean from a rapper who said he was a teacher in a bunch of ways.   Co-Dean later added Kong as a lastname that was given to him by his mother because he crawled on his fists as a baby.
