Annette Conlon is a Los Angeles based Americana artist with musical influences that linger on the country side with The Carpenters, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash, and span to rock, opera, and musicals; especially the great Julie Andrews. Meshing her musical influences with personal inspirations that range from veganism and animal welfare to life and death physical challenges, she has become a foundational voice in the indie music scene in L.A. and beyond.

Her debut solo album, LIFE, DEATH, AND THE SPACES BETWEEN was released in April, 2015.  The 15 songs explore the dark and light parts of Annette’s two-year journey with a deadly illness, multiple surgeries, and a major brain injury, wrapped in the warm blanket of Americana music. Country Music People says, “Annette Conlon has created a moving, intimate, magical, melodic country trip into her troubled mind” and Will Phoenix at AXS.com concludes it’s “a sincere compilation of emotionally-born compositions.” While the lyrics are raw and emotion-provoking, Annette’s beloved voice is the unforgettable throughline: “When you hear Annette Conlon's vocals, it's hard not to think about Judy Collins and Emmylou Harris,” notes Gary Schwind at AXS.com. 

Tracks from LIFE, DEATH, AND THE SPACES BETWEEN are earning radio play in the U.S., Europe, and made the Top 100 RadioFreeAmericana chart. A five star review in Country Music People, July 2015 caught the eye of an UK online retailer and an international distribution deal out of Nashville, TN is now underway.

As a live performer, Annette has toured the country for years, from local club dates to regional festivals to state fairs. With rock band Eden Automatic, she opened for The Pretenders, The B-52s, Missing Persons, and Duran Duran. With her husband Doug, The Conlons have played venues and events on the west coast, and hold regular residencies in Los Angeles.

Annette is the creator of NetteRadio, a long-running internet show dedicated to supporting independent women in music. She has produced more than 50 artist showcases that also raise funds for a variety of charities. For this, she has been recognized by the American Red Cross.

Annette has been featured in Fierce Magazine, Examiner.com, and AXS.com, and has been published in ROCKRGRL. She is the recipient of the 2009/2010 ASCAPlus Award and she was awarded the 2011 Songsalive! Songwriter of the Year Award. Her CD LIFE, DEATH, AND THE SPACES BETWEEN received a nomination for a 2015 L.A. Music Critic Award and Annette was voted ‘fan favorite by the 2015 L.A. Music Critic readers. Her music has been licensed for several films. She is endorsed by Daisy Rock Guitars and Schubb Capos.

She is a vegan, an advocate for animal rights, rescues stray kitties, and is passionate about everything she pursues.
