In 2019 we crowdfunded our debut album. One of the rewards we offered for backers was a request-a-cover type affair. One of our fans came up with the idea of us covering this song and organised a group of people to buy the reward and here we are! We feel really grateful to our fans for getting us to do this. It was a daunting task at first but we're really happy with the results and hope you will be too.

We are big Shpongle fans. This song, even within the Shpongle catalogue, is something really special. We've put a lot of heart and soul into our arrangement, trying to capture the emotional journey of the original but using our own musical vocabulary to express a different side of the experience. We really hope that you'll recognise some of the twists and turns of the original, as well as enjoying a fresh perspective on it. Please share it with anyone you think will like it!

Quarantin3 by Ask My Bull:
Oh God don’t call it that! Well, just FYI we named this song well before the word ‘quarantine’ struck terror into the hearts of populous. The main riff for this track was written and committed to voice-memo way back in 2018 by our bassist Tom. That handy voice memo was, for some idiosyncratic reason known only by Tom's iPhone, auto-titled as Quarantine3. So the name was born. 

This track is our first as a four-piece; the line-up on this release is a heavy-grooving rhythm section of Harry on drums and Tom on bass plus Dual-Sax-Terror from Molly and Elliot. The majority of the writing was done online with each member recording their own parts and sending them over to Tom for arranging and mixing.

Cavity click keeps the rhythm, keeps it movin'.  Any day it's gonna crack.  Popcorn kernel, olive pit, at any moment smashed to bits (yeah).  Toothache's better than heartache baby, I've figured that much out.  And I thought I knew a thing or two about the blues but you've got me wonderin' now.

Dog-eyed kindess (naive and trusting) fans the purest flame of morning fire.  But once it fizzles out into charred, formless evening, how do you ignite without turning to ash (yeah).  Seasick's better than heartsick, baby.  I know that much by now.  And I thought I knew nausea from sea to cars but you've got me wonderin' now.

Forced into morning, tempted into night.  Tally all the things that you broke.  Bending her branches.  Snapping, sapping and writhing.  For me alone.  Yeah, I guess sunburn's better than heartburn (barely).  Guess I never figured that out.  And I thought I knew a thing or two about the blues but you've got me wonderin' now.

An instrumental whirlwind from Manchester; they often rock it as a 3-piece with experimental textures and heavy grooves from Molly on alto sax, Tom on bass and Harry on drums. The extended 5-piece lineup has Elliot join up front on tenor sax, and Nathan (aka Mango Thomas) joining on bass while Tom switches to guitar.
