Far above the ancient land, a vault of stars lay. There was once a forest here, which has long since been weathered away.

Ten thousand miles above the mountain's highest crest, rose a black and eternal tower.

A lonely man he wanders, over mountains and through valleys. Since before the first star was lit, before the first word was uttered.

A gate was seen, a gate of night-black stone. Through which he entered, and within it was emptiness, untouched since the first age of time.

He reached the top of the tower and touched the zenith of the world. His journey was then over, for he had finally found his goal.

From the ground in the desolate earth, figures then rose. Without eyes and without arms, they opened their gapes and sang.

Over the lands of the dying world their hymn was sounded. The mountains were crushed, the stars fell and the sky wept, for the eternal darkness had come.

Alone stands there the tower, in a cosmos filled with emptiness. There he sits on his throne, for eternity is his kingdom.
