Noble kin and home of finest craftsmanship pristine
Brought the families all the riches they could ever need
Looking for the mountain's treasure, down there in the deep
But one day they found something somber, they had never seen

A dark stone in the deepest shadows from far distant realms
Miners came back to the surface but were not themselves
Woke up somehting that they should have better left asleep
Found a curse of oldest power 'cause they scraped to deep

They're lost, but still here
The hardest thing's to lose someone who feels like they're still here
Alone and left behind
Keep remembering your people that have lost their mind

A daughter brought up by warm-hearted parents that would lead
A life of love and safety as a happy family
The mother's sister all the sudden fell to Dark Stone's seed
Cut the loving mother's throat for the father to see

She's lost, but still here
The hardest thing's to lose someone who feels like they're still here
Alone and left behind
Keep remembering your people that have lost their mind

The father though untouched by the stone, now yet has gone mad
Cut his beard and by the Dwarves is now considered dead
Found no way out, had to leave the ancient halls in shame
Even with reclaimed honor, he'll never be the same

A lonely daughter cut from her family line
To be honest, I think there's a chance she will be fine
Her gashing wounds will surely heal with time
Because Dwarven community runs deeper than their mines
