Dave Lawrence is a seasoned DJ and producer whose sound journeys through the realms of House and Techno while always prioritizing emotiveness and dancefloor movement. Based in Massachusetts, with roots stretching from Boston to Worcester, he held a residency at the Maya Lounge, and energized dancefloors with a unique, ecclectic, yet defined sound that tends toward the darker and deeper side of things.
A veteran in the underground circuit, Dave Lawrence has played everything from gritty house parties to legendary establishments like The Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, as well as the popular but tragically late Choppin' Block and Good Life venues in Boston. His long-standing ties to both the House and Drum & Bass communities, coupled with a refined ear for quality across genres ranging from hip hop to classical, have helped shape a unique and dynamic style that values authenticity over commercial appeal.

For as long as there is music and those who faithfully dance, there  will always be a need for the Godmother of House Music, DJ Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale. Detroit’s 1st female of house music plays dance floor bangers and orchestral melodies with live music fusions. Hotwaxx Hale has made a massive impact in American music culture, whether it’s playing in famous theaters like the Apollo New York and the Fox Detroit, or legendary underground dance music clubs like  ‘Studio 54,’ and ‘The Warehouse. Currently she holds residence at Spotlite Detroit, & Marble Bar Detroit.  She also has an international presence, which includes performances in London, Ibiza, France, Mexico, Berlin, Amsterdam, Toronto, and across the USA.   

 Hotwaxx Hale is the1st female DJ who played house music on the  radio in Detroit in the late 80s, and continues as a DJ to play a major role in curating the  soundtrack of our lives for several decades. Thriving in the city that started techno, she  somehow maintains a perfect flow by tastefully blending house and techno with funk,  hip hop and Motown soul, which is why she continues to have a diverse, multi-aged  devoted following.  Not only has she been resident DJ for several famous Motown radio stations, but she  also beat over 600 DJs in the Motor City Mix contest winning $10,000. She also has residents at two clubs in Detroit @ Spotlite Detroit as Housecats w/ Jenny LaFemme, and Panorama Berlin.  Hotwaxx  currently produces & hosts three radio shows. Twisted Tuesdays at 12n  Deepspaceradio.com EST. Every 3rd Friday a virtual show on Twitch & Mixcloud simultaneously thru Technoclub-net 4pm EST .  She is one of the leaders in a daily broadcast on Blast Radio/Hotwaxx.  Hotwaxx’s passion for music spills over into education for the youth and adults as well.  

Since the inception of  Girls Rock Detroit, Hotwaxx has been the DJ instructor helping young girls & non-binary find their way through mentorship and music.  
In 2023 she accepted the position as GRDs Co-Director for the next 2 years.

2024 Hotwaxx will led a virtual classroom for the Underground Music Academy (UMA)

 Hotwaxx is the Virtual & Hybrid Director Specialist for Streamteamio with various organizations worldwide.  Hotwaxx has also formed a live music group, Nyumba Muziki, which has performed at  the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Opera House,  Detroit 300 Conservancy and more. 

Music Coordinator/DJ with  Jessica Care Moore’s Daughters of Betty (Black Women Rock Orchestra).   Hotwaxx has incredible production skills and has collaborated with artists like Eddie  Fowlkes, Alton Miller, Kevin Saunderson, Marissa Guzman, Norma Jean Bell,  Pirahnahead, K Hand, Diviniti Roxx, Candy J, Geri Free and Hazmat Live

Stacey is the creator and coordinator for  Sheometry Arts and Music Festival   launched in Detroit August 2019 returned in July 2024.  

Inducted into the  National  Museum of African American Music in 2019  Nashville TN.

Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Prosper. was born to live a life full of music. Her time as a flow artist at prominent music events around the United States morphed seamlessly into a passion for mixing. She took inspiration from her travels in Europe where she met producers such as GLXY, Monty, & Submorphics, who helped kickstart her career as a DJ. Her path was solidified into the cloudy underground warehouse music scene that is flourishing around the world . You can expect a DJ set from Prosper. to be as deep as her soul, flowing through anything from melodic liquid drum and bass to the deeper and darker rollers. Highlight performances include Submersion and The Untz as well as numerous headlines at the lounge at Denver’s Black Box and becoming a resident at NFBN night at Las Vegas coveted Discopussy, as well as carefully curated opening slots for LTJ Bukem and Break. Prosper. is gearing up to make her debut artistic release a perfect union of her artistic influences and personal style.

DJ Minx was inspired to spin at The Music Institute, where some of Detroit’s leading dance music DJs helped to hone her skills.

For two years she engineered and hosted “Deep Space Radio,” an electronic music show on Detroit’s WGPR radio station. She also voluntarily hosted a weekly radio program at the University of Canada on CJAM 91.5 FM called “Steamy Windows,” and later became a resident of world-renowned Club Motor in Hamtramck. In 2000 she was a featured performer at the first Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and has since become a regular fixture at Movement.

In December 1996 Minx founded Women on Wax, a collective of female DJs from the Metro Detroit area. From then on, she worked with promoters and DJs across the country to solidify the career of several top female DJs and singers.

In 2001, Minx established her own record label called Women On Wax Recordings, which has become a platform for her own productions (including the 2003 classic, “A Walk In The Park”) and outlet for local talent. Minx expanded her musical majesty by creating a sub-imprint of the label called W.O.W. B.A.M. (Women On Wax Bangin’ Ass Music), and continues to collaborate with, produce on, and remix for a number of labels.

Currently on the Liaison Artists roster, Detroit’s “First Lady of Wax” is going strong after nearly three decades of DJing and continues to play in cities across the U.S. and around world. She was recently named one of the “20 Women Who Shaped the History of Dance Music” by Mixmag and one of the “Best house music DJs of all time” by TimeOut New York. In 2018, she was presented with the Spirit of Detroit Award for “exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the quality of life.” In 2020, she launched Behind The Grüv, an online store that sells high-quality, reasonably priced casual wear, fit for lounging, outdoor events and working out.

One can only imagine what other paths Minx will explore in the years to come.
