Woïnkpa! Yes, that's her name. A mixed ethnicity from France and Central African Republic (and don't even dare asking her where in Central Africa, as she'd point out your "incomprehension of the word republic!") who was smoothly rocked by the sound of her childhood travels.
"I'm a patchwork", Woïnkpa combines her cultural and musical influences around her strong identity. Witness, from very early, to dilemmas of conventional femininity on different continents, in different cultures and not being able to conform to any, she embraced and started to cultivate the individualistic aspects of herself. 
After being branded by Giggem as the 7th on a list of 100 "Hot songwriters in the UK", in 2013, Rob Brinkmann, who understood her crazy conceptual vision, approached her and in an improbable association between wild and subtle, the band was named after their lead vocalist.
A celebration of empowerment, charismatic Woïnkpa is talking from her heart and strives for what she believes in. A blend of delicate and fragile, but raw at times, her voice is a cross between M.I.A. and Little Dragon with an exotic accent. A strange potpourri of ideas combining unusual structures with the sweet harmonic melodies of a pop sensibility, Woïnkpa showcases her talent as her ability to switch from a naïve, fragile voice (almost dream pop vocals) to an aggressive, attitude, well-timed staccato verse. The production ranges from sparse to multi-layered within the space of a few bars, giving vocals and composition, space to breathe while at times morphing into a dense, lush sound. Woïnkpa will jump from light lyrics to obscurity, words that don’t always convey their first appearance. Immerse yourself in the whole. Your best guess is as good as mine.

Rouge are an all girl four piece from London, and winners of the Rock the House 2014 
competition, run by the Houses of Parliament. Touted as ones to watch by Q Magazine, they 
launched with an explosive hometown show in April 2013, and have showcased their fuzzy 
blues rock style to audiences nationwide, most recently becoming one of the only bands to 
have ever played a set inside the House of Commons. Having been compared to the likes of 
Deap Vally, Haim, and The White Stripes, as well as being featured on ITV and BBC News, 
the band picked up support from around the world following the release of debut single 
'Wilderness' in November 2013. The DIY release, accompanied by a headline UK tour, was 
met with rave reviews, leading the initial run of handmade physical CDs to sell out within a 
month, and high profile support slots followed in early 2014 with the likes of The Subways 
and To Kill a King.


Amongst all of this, and in between playing packed out shows at The Borderline, The Garage, and 
Barfly in London, the girls found the time to lock themselves in the studio, taking their time to 
prepare and perfect their first official EP, with Adam Crowe of Snap Studios. The highly 
accomplished EP was released to the world in June to rave reviews, and has received national plays 
on Absolute Radio. Led by title track 'Edge of the Bed', and accompanied by a stunning new music 
video, shot in one day in a West London warehouse, the EP showcases both sides of the band, with 
the raw power and stomping blues of Edge of the Bed and Wilderness being complimented by the 
slower, soulful vocals of Strike and Limit to Your Love.

stream via all the usual outlets. Keep your eyes peeled as the Rouge girls step it up a notch. 
Bursting forward in leaps and bounds musically, the Edge of the Bed release will see the band cover 
yet more of the country, responding to the demands of their ever growing fan base, and continuing 
2014 with the sort of momentum that can only lead them onto a very bright future.

"Man Like Nells" is a bilingual artist / producer bringing innovation to British landscape and culture using English and French to showcase his lyrical dexterity. His family originates from the "Central African Republic"
his music shaped from personal early life experiences of French cities "Lyon" & "Paris" and as of the last 12 years "South East London".

As a producer Nells' demonstrates his versatility by utilising sound choices representing the rich sonic Black essence and its fascinating culture. The genres influences he explores vary from traditional African soundscapes to Reggae, Gospel, Hip-Hop and Soulful smooth Jazz.
Nells' aim is to express the beauty and hope we should all seek for in our day to day lives especially during the times of crisis we're now seeing worldwide.
