PAST FUTURE 

Traditionally rhythm takes shape by repetition of similar sounds which change slightly at uniform time intervals. Since the early ages, people used this repetition to elaborate their emotions and thoughts in some order, to make sense of the passing time in their personal reality. While each moment may be unique and incomparable, the rhythm provides an order that fosters some sense of security. 

So what happens when we alter that rhythms structure? Upon our first encounter with such unfamiliar rhythms, the music typically prods the human psyche and provokes the stability of the ego. This can be very troubling for the human kind, as it is in our nature to identify with familiar patterns, and prediction is at the very roots of perception. Introducing unfamiliarity can leave humans subconsciously disarmed and unguarded. 

However, the mind has a strong sense of plasticity. It is always looking to classify and organize, and when faced with new and erring information, the mind has an amazing capacity to restructure itself to make room for challenging information. 

Over time, unpredictable rhythms in music prompt the reexamination of the ego, and ultimately reveal a new way to appreciate the art form. The very notion of rhythm is as such transformed, which subsequently strengthens the psyche as one learns to confront these new structures. One must restructure their own sense of prediction and pattern recognition to embrace this new reality. In a way, this fosters a new platform of possibility in music and in the mind. It induces a state of readiness for the unknown and entrenchment in the moment, which could potentially play an important role in intellectual development. 

When we pay attention to the sound of Minuteless Recordings, we see that the artists work on this structure at the most fundamental levels. In an attempt to surprise themselves in music, they expand their repertoire of familiar patterns for themselves and their listeners. PAST FUTURE is Metacortex Records’ second collaborative release and released as a compilation album in partnership with Minuteless Recordings. PAST FUTURE, with its 13 experimental tracks, designs the moment peculiarly by presenting rhythm and time on a timeless platform at an unpredictable reality. Time is no longer on a straight line where the past is behind you and the future forward, yet the moment is unquestionably at the center of time. So, without further ado, we present to you this moment.

VINCENT SINCLAIR
Vincent e Bo nasceram em Ambrose como gémeos conjuntos, com o rosto de Vincent colado na parte de trás da cabeça de Bo. Os irmãos foram separados por uma cirurgia ilícita realizada pelo seu pai.
Vincent Sinclair e as suas esculturas de cera, não apenas um museu de memórias reais, mas memórias vivas e polidas.
A cera quente e a criatividade fizeram-no ver uma história dentro de cada escultura viva.

BLAIR WITCH
Em 1785, várias crianças denunciaram Elly aos seus pais, afirmando que ela lhes tinha tirado algumas gotas de sangue dos dedos, e logo toda a população a acusou de bruxaria. Kedward foi expulsa da aldeia e lançou uma maldição sobre o local antes de partir. Diz a lenda que ela morreu na floresta devido ao inverno rigoroso desse ano, mas o seu corpo nunca foi encontrado. Após uma série de mortes misteriosas, a população local ficou tão assustada que abandonou a aldeia.
Mais de cem anos depois, na década de 1940, as crianças que viviam na aldeia começaram a desaparecer. Algumas semanas mais tarde, um residente da região entregou-se à polícia e confessou ter raptado e matado 7 crianças. Ele disse que só cometeu o crime porque uma voz lhe sussurrou ao ouvido o que devia fazer.

LATHERFACE
O rosto de couro nasceu desfigurado e tinha uma doença de pele. Devido à sua estranha aparência, foi implacavelmente intimidado e ridicularizado. Não era muito brilhante, mas estava muito consciente do facto de que estava a ser tratado tão mal. Tinha vergonha da sua aparência, por isso começou a usar uma pequena máscara de couro para esconder a sua cara. Este hábito continuou até à idade adulta. Com o tempo, a sua doença bipolar agravou-se devido à violência sofrida psicológica e fisicamente. passou todo o seu tempo a criar máscaras, sempre feitas de carcaças, ele só queria ser normal. humano.
Sempre procurou o seu rosto nas pessoas, até se tornar a sua melhor habilidade.

MICHAEL MYERS
Em 1963, na noite de Halloween, Michael fica completamente louco e mata a sua própria irmã mais velha. É capturado e enviado para um reformatório, sendo depois transferido para prisões de segurança máxima durante toda a sua juventude.
Com traumas e idas e vindas de experiências críticas, Myers regressa à sua cidade sempre para viver no seu dia preferido, o Halloween.

CHUKY
O Lakeshore Strangler é um notório assassino em série cujo espírito habita uma boneco e tenta continuamente transferir a sua alma da boneco para um corpo humano.
Ele e o seu corpo de boneco, caminham em busca de um hospedeiro digno da sua alma.
Uma maldição entre ele e o chuky fá-lo ficar preso no ciclo de matar e matar, criando assim um prazer mútuo em ser a melhor boneca assassina do mundo.

JASON VOORHEES
A sua mãe pensou que ele se tinha afogado no Lago de Cristal aos 11 anos de idade. Jason sobreviveu e tornou-se ermitão, vivendo na floresta e alimentando-se de plantas, insectos e animais. (Alguns afirmam que ele se afogou mas voltou à vida para vingar a morte da sua mãe). Ele cresceu e tornou-se um homem grande, deformado e sem instrução, que nunca disse uma palavra.
Tornou-se uma criatura do mato, a presença de humanos incomoda-o... porque os seus próprios amigos o fizeram afogar-se, ele mata por medo de estar vivo.
