Yet this only scratches the surface of Troxler's musical outlook, hence the formation of Soft Touch records; an imprint focused on peeling back the layers of the exotic and the strange, where interstellar guitar, calypso disco and seductive techno tracks can come together in unison and feel totally at home. On the labels first 10" release, long time friend and Guy Gerber collaborator, Clarian, collects three tracks for SOFT001; a kaleidoscopic journey through 6am electronics, afro-beat Indie pop and sixties West coast heartbreak. It's a bold opening statement for a label prepared to break the mould, get you on the floor with a whispered promise through the dry ice.

German producer Daso, who has originally emerged from the german techno scene, delivers two stunningly atmospheric pieces of modern disco on the flip.

First there's "I Seek", a dense and ever evolving synth driven disco track, with strong references to 80's pop and italo, whilst easily maintaining an original and modern feel.

Italian house music lovers Mauro and Massimo aka Hard Ton started off with two releases on Dissident in 2009, and have since then become the go-to production team for authentic acid driven vocal house with a classic touch.

Their first track on the EP ,"You Made The World Go Round", is a destinctly dubby slice of vocal house, complete with sultry stabs, piano and a catchy synth bassline.

"Keep It Closer", the second Hard Ton production, is a densely intstrumented house track with an array of chord stabs, hovering strings and a powerful bassline - tied together by Massimos intimate vocals.

Nick Anthony Simoncino tackles "Keep It Closer" to a darker place, tightly embedding the sparse vocals in a carpet of analogue strings, pads and bells - all driven by a percussion heavy drum machine beat.

Rainer Trueby and Rebirth’s Corrado Bucci joined forces for a splendid Black Label release under the alias TRUCCY. Tastemaker don Gilles Peterson already featured Sidestep in his Worldwide radio show and Jimpster was charting and playing it already, aswell. A truly elegant, smooth deep house 2-tracker.
Corrado Bucci is a young Italian musician, producer and DJ. Since the previous works 'Brooklyn' and 'Chewing Bubble' (Rebirth Records) the young italian musician and producer has been gaining great support in the electronic scene. He explored new musical territories and started to play real instruments, refining his artistic expression! Best known for his 2014 underground single “Open Your Eyes“ (supported by Gilles Peterson, Rainer Trueby, Lovebirds and Jazzanova to name just a few). In November 2014 Corrado announced that he signed to Local Talk Records & Compost Records ( w/ Rainer Trueby under the name “Truccy”) for 2015!

Lake Gilmore is a beautiful lake in Northwestern Wisconsin, just outside a small town named Minong, population 521. The Paulus family cabin is situated on this lake, and many a summer were spent jumping off the dock, drinking brews and paddling the canoe. The main melody in Lake Gilmore is an outline of a chord that Greg's father, Stephen Paulus, famed classical composer, used repeatedly in his music. The song was built off of this melody, rhythmically and harmonically. No Regular Play recorded this figure on Stephen’s Steinway grand piano that he composed music on every day of his life, and expanded the idea with synthesizers, drum machines and horns. The spirit of Lake Gilmore and Stephen shine through this nostalgic piece. The duo were overjoyed to have Juan MacLean, a huge inspiration, add his signature touch, subtly but strongly creating a perfect version for the dancefloor. Lake Gilmore is a special place.

The rework takes the original version’s swirling acid licks, gnarly basslines and pumping drums and, whilst keeping the pace and mood pumping, remodels the melody, sending things on a deeper, more cosmically energised trip.
