One of the songs from Pee Wee Gaskins' new EP, The Transit EP.
I wrote this after hangin' out all day with a buddy I grew up with. We've been friends since junior highschool.
I bought her CD the day before and she had it sign with "always be my rainbow buddy!!" and I thought it would be fun to write a song about friendzone. This song itself is fictional though... ish. :)

Senyum saya selalu otomatis terkembang tiap kali berkenalan dengan rilisan terbaru Asphoria. Contohnya ketika "A Day That I’m No Good At" pertama kali dirilis berupa single. Biasanya setelah ketagihan untuk memutar lagu itu berulang, malam harinya saya enggan buang waktu tertidur karena ingin terus mendengar lagu baru Asphoria. Haha. Absurd tapi harus diakui “keanehan” itu benar-benar terjadi. Beberapa saat lalu euforia serupa kembali berulang. Kali ini pesimisme saya bahkan juga dipatahkan. Ketika datang kabar bahwa Asphoria akan me-remix lagunya, saya belum memandang keputusan itu sebagai pencapaian progresif. Proyek remix kemudian rampung. Ternyata saya salah. Ini bukan cuma soal mendaur ulang lagu lama. Ini cara menikmati sebuah objek yang sama dengan cara beragam rupa. Sebutlah lagu ini dengan judul "Syabidap", yang mendeskripsikan sebuah suasana bahagia. Tiap patah kata dalam lirik lagu ini diucapkan selaras dengan nada yang mewarnainya. Tak cuma berdeskripsi, kuartet asal Bogor, Jawa Barat, ini juga berfilosofi tentang memberi hal kecil sebagai sesuatu yang bersebab-akibat dengan topik si lagu. Semua itu berpilin indah dalam satu lagu.
Ini adalah bundel karya kelima Asphoria setelah mini album "Showcase09" pada tahun 2009, album penuh "Notes About Life" di 2011, "Eschatology" rilisan Hujan! Rekords kelahiran 2012, dan "Summary 2009-2013" yang dirilis terbatas di Inggris Raya pada tahun lalu. Meski telah tinggal di 3 benua terpisah, Asphoria membuktikan komitmen mereka untuk terus berkarya. "Syabidap" direkam ketika Maul (vokal, bass, gitar akustik) tinggal di Skotlandia, Irfan (drum, gitar) menetap di Amerika Serikat, sementara Fanfan (vokal, gitar, sample) dan Aria (kibor, piano, gitar) di Indonesia. Tak ada yang berubah dari Asphoria di lima tahun terakhir selama mereka ada. Yang berbeda adalah buah eksplorasi musikal yang terus mereka praktikkan. "Syabidap" inilah yang kemudian terbentuk di laboratorium kreatifitas Asphoria. Seraya menampilkan kebaruan dalam satu benang merah yang sama, "Syabidap" hadir menjadi buah karya yang layak disimak. Bukan hanya bagi mereka yang telah kenal gubahan Asphoria lainnya, tapi juga untuk kalian yang ingin berkenalan dengan kuartet penebar euforia ini. - Rheza Ardiansyah
