Portuguese artist Delectatio is a new signing to Silk Sofa. His EP, "Sunrise", features four unique and unforgettable downtempo cuts.

"Numinous" starts with intriguing guitar riffs and enjoyable melodies on top. Soon, intricate percussion elements as well as hypnotizing vocal stems emerge, while the delightful theme melody continues to liven up the soundscape. A blissful guitar line and soothing percussion elements introduce "Be Free". Fascinating vocal stems are added later, thereby adding an extra layer of delicate and refreshing textures. "Remember" begins with a stunning atmosphere, including a number of lush synths and an intricate bassline. A mesmerizing arpeggio melody emerges later, and numerous sound effects continuously spice up the soundscape. The final song in this package is "Latibule". Beautiful melodies are quickly established, and multiple new layers are added on top, as the song progresses. The soothing breakbeat comforts the listener even further.

Пару лет назад мы специально снимали студию, чтобы записать живые барабаны для этой песни, но это оказалось все  не то - не тот саунд! Поэтому мы стали подыскивать какой-нибудь цех с железяками и в конце концов записали партию ударных в заброшенной киноаппаратной... В роли перкуссии здесь слышны: списанные трансформаторы производства СССР, катушки для пленки и прочая железная рухлядь, попавшая под руку, а также 20-литровая пластиковая бутылка из-под минералки. И все-таки в самом конце трека можно услышать реальную барабанную установку!!

This months set is a special one. This weekend we celebrate the summer  solstice. The longest day of the year. This session is dedicated to this event and is created by Mahiane. Her session is called Collimate. 

About Mahiane:

Dj, arranger, publisher, co-founder and manager of Ultimae records , Sandrine Gryson aka Mahiane explores music genres since 1985 and developped a keen ear and heart for atmospheric ambient, floating and organic sounds, idm, glitch, progressive techno and deep electro breakbeat; she occasionaly participates to projects such as Aes Dana project or Subgardens.

Mahiane about the mix:
A story based on works by just a few of the artists who deeply touch me. Something soft at times, intense all along. Enjoy!
