66 Mientras Pedro estaba abajo en el patio, pasó una de las criadas del sumo sacerdote. 67 Cuando vio a Pedro calentándose, se fijó en él.
―Tú también estabas con ese nazareno, con Jesús —le dijo ella.
68 Pero él lo negó:
―No lo conozco. Ni siquiera sé de qué estás hablando.

Poco después, los que estaban allí le dijeron a Pedro: ―Seguro que tú eres uno de ellos, pues eres galileo.
71 Él comenzó a echarse maldiciones.
―¡No conozco a ese hombre del que hablan! —les juró.
72 Al instante un gallo cantó por segunda vez.[i] Pedro se acordó de lo que Jesús le había dicho: «Antes de que el gallo cante por segunda vez,[j] me negarás tres veces». Y se echó a llorar.

Peter denies Jesus
66 While Peter was down in the courtyard, one of the servants of the high priest passed by. 67 When he saw Pedro warming up, he noticed him.
"You were also with that Nazarene, with Jesus," she said.
68 But he denied it:
-Do not know him. I do not even know what you're talking about.
And he went outside, to the entrance. [H]
69 When the maid saw him there, he said again to those present: -This is one of them.
70 He denied it again.
Shortly thereafter, those who were there said to Peter, "Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean."
71 He began to curse himself.
-I do not know that man they're talking about! He swore to them.
72 Instantly a rooster sang a second time. [I] Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him: "Before the rooster crows for the second time, [j] you will deny me three times." And he started crying.

Times ago there was only darkness, if you ask me; The Light Wins!!
