Hi All! Here is a new collaboration with my homie Dex from Skin Vehicles. It is a 3 track E.P that will take you to another dimension in space, beware!

The first track "Steeped in Sadness" slowly transports you on an intergalactic journey as if looking outside a spaceship's window at 
the infinite space lying ahead of you... But then you get hit by a shower of meteorites! From key mark 1'53"...Hold on tight!

The second track "Slow Motion Planets" is slow and keeps bouncing in all directions in slow-motion like a ball in a pinball machine.

Finally the third track "Stretching Out" is a dreamy ode filled with  beauty. The clarinet serenades you as if we have now arrived back home, witnessing the breathtaking beauty of our planet Earth seen from above. We are safe now...and we are going home...

Transition

This track I wrote started off as a collaboration with my good friend Dex from Skin Vehicles.
He sent me an experimental electronic track of his and told me to do whatever I wanted with it, and so I did!
In the end I used his track as an atmospheric background soundscape in some sections and arranged my own song.

Hi, my name is Colin Crichton,
I am an Artist, Composer, Performer and Music Producer.

I am fascinated by the world of electronic, experimental, electro-acoustic, jazz, classical and world music.
Improvisation is a key element in my Astempola compositions. It is developed in conjunction with either fixed notated scoring techniques or programmed electronic music.

The aim of these compositions is to veer away from the predictability of a rigid and repetitive beat pulse and to use electronic music in a very humanly process; a process that in essence is imperfect and therefore forever changing.
