After our first collaboration https://soundcloud.com/markjbennett/an-angel-passed-by-tom-regnier-and-mark-j-bennett-1 I was pleased when Tom https://soundcloud.com/tom-r-gnier offered me a wonderful piece (with the same title) to make into a song. He suggested that I didn't think too much about the meaning, just about the feeling. This was good advice as it almost wrote itself, based around almost rhymes of the word 'deposit'. Once we had the basis it made perfect sense to invite Jussi https://soundcloud.com/juswel to add some great guitar throughout. I owe a huge thank you to Tom and Jussi for this opportunity.

Seagull was kind enough to share a childhood memory with me of fishing boats with old spark plug engines, the scent of the sea, the sound of gulls looking for a meal, all of which he had put into a lovely musical portrait.  It is a different world compared to the childhood I had growing up in suburban Denver, Colorado.  Now with us both in our later years we get to meet on this wonderful platform called Soundcloud, and I asked if I could tag along with him as he shared this lovely memory. This is a song created by the very talented and revered Karin-Maria Brunner, to which she was kind enough to ask me to contribute. She sent me the beat, the bass line, and the chords and said, "verrückt werden!" So nuts I did go! She wanted something that on which I used a synthesizer, of which I loved the idea. 
  The song appears on her album Synthastic, which also includes some other really top ace musicians, including some of my personal favorites, like Frans Beelaard. Thus, I'm very honored and proud to not only be among musicians of that ilk, but to have been asked by Karin-Maria to participate in the first place. 
  You can find my other song, Magic Hour, along with those of the other seven collaborators among the other seventeen songs on the album on literally every streaming service available. So, next time you're listening somewhere other than the Cloud, please take at least a few minutes and check it out.
