ALSO ASTIR is the offshoot of the artist behind ASTIR, offering a more expansive and experimental approach to electronic music. Where ASTIR leans into introspection and emotional subtlety, ALSO ASTIR explores broader, more dynamic soundscapes, characterized by intricate synth layers and bold production choices. The project merges delicate melodies with powerful electronic beats, creating a sound that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.

ALSO ASTIR pushes the boundaries of traditional electronic music, weaving together lush textures and complex rhythms. The result is music that is atmospheric yet grounded, drawing listeners into an immersive world where intensity meets reflection. Songs flow from high-energy moments with driving beats to softer, more reflective passages, giving listeners an experience that feels cinematic in scope. With this project, the artist continues to evolve, building on the emotive core of while venturing into new sonic territories.

Since its inception, the project has collaborated with renowned labels such as Armada, Anjuna, Enhanced, Get The Sound and X Recordings, amassing over 16 million streams across platforms. ALSO ASTIR has worked with celebrated artists like Adriatique, Yotto, AVIRA, Nuage and BAILE, and was named Shazam’s Breakthrough Electronic Artist of 2025. Tracks like “Forget,” a collaboration with Yotto and AVIRA, have reached Shazam charts worldwide, resonating with audiences at festivals and beyond.

Bastiaan de Nooijer, also known as Piece Wise is a 25-year-old Dutch music producer born in Spain and raised in Africa. Piece Wise has spent the majority of his life living in Africa, in countries such as Cameroon, Senegal, Mozambique & Mali where he has gained valuable life experiences. His musical journey began in 2012 when he first experimented with electronic music production. Over time, Piece Wise has developed his unique sound and has tied his main focus to electronic dance music. 

Piece Wise has released music on established labels such as Loudkult, We Are Diamond & Strange Fruits. Next to his music, Piece Wise dedicates his time professionally to curating various Spotify playlists, with his main goal being able to share his musical preferences & promoting upcoming talented artists. With the launch of his own record label "Setting Sail Records", Piece Wise takes an independent path regarding his own music and focuses on the branding & releases of other artists.
