Wine From Tears - Since I Fell...

In honor of the late David Gold, we in Astolat would like to offer a tribute to the man who made the music and the music that made the man. Since discovering Woods of Ypres they have been a huge source of inspiration both musically and lyrically, which has been paramount in the making of our upcoming record. The bitter irony of writing this for someone who sang the words David sang strikes us deeply, yet it seems fitting to celebrate his life with music he sparked the creative flame for.

Astolat is a progressive doom metal band which was founded in Linköping, Sweden in 2011. Members EPIALES (guitar, vocals, bass)and A┼┼ASUERUS (drums) draw influences from progressive, doom, black and symphonic metal. The sound is as dark as it is bombastic and acts as a backdrop for lyrics about existential crisis, identity, horror, nightmares and stoic acceptance of the unknown.
