@sebastianbayne is one of Australia’s premier techno exports whose led quite the extraordinary life. He learned his craft during his time in the UK and notably in China, where he played a role in pioneering in establishing the techno scene in Beijing. Bayne also heads up IF? Records, one of Australia’s longest running techno imprints. IF? started in Melbourne in 1995, with Sebastian inheriting control of the label in 2010. The label has featured homegrown talent, as well as a plethora of international artists.  Bas Mooy, James Ruskin and Dasha Rush amongst others have been released on IF?. Sebastian also released a 4-tracks digital Ep on Genau Recordings imprint. Currently, in Berlin, Sebastian can be caught playing at institutions such as Tresor or Staub, and debuted in Berghain in 2018.

KLUBTAG with VJ Andrei - 27.04.24 at Astralia Luft in Astral Junction Berlin I Live-Act PT2

Now you can listen to Saumet's hybrid set performed at Natural Sessions at Astralia-Luft as part of Astral Junction Berlin.

This set has been carefully crated as part of his “Apophenia” A/V experience, diving into various genres, from classical and experimental to electronic music. 

Through "Apophenia", Saumet creates a meditative channel where deep sounds and frequencies helps to find inner harmony and relaxation amidst sonic waves. In the meantime “Apophenia” is a vehicle of internal transcendence. 

Saumet is synonymous of avant-garde music. His sets are meticulously created by playing live synthesizers, drum-machines and records, giving a spectacle of analogue sounds that interact with their surroundings as a magical atmosphere of inclusion and connection.

His live and DJ performances have been heard in cities such as Buenos Aires, Berlin, Barcelona and Belgrade to name some. As a music producer, his latest album "Thema" was featured and reviewed by some media outlets including Faze magazine with 8/10.

Saumet is currently one of the music curators at Astralia-Luft in Friedrichshain, Berlin, that every week and weekend host events for ambient, experimental, noise, techno, synth-pop, new-wave and post-punk.

His currently working on this forthcoming 12" vinyl release, along with Klauss (Carl Craig's Planet E), Joachim Spieth and Sebastian Bayne, as well as in his new album release.

Multidisciplinary artist Saumet, will perform live this Wednesday at 19:00 in Astralia-Luft as part of Astral Junction Cultural and Creative House Berlin, along with Ø as part of their immersive sonic experience.

As a music producer, Saumeth has been featured by different electronic music makers with his album “Thema” amongst other releases.

As a Dj and live-act with synths and drum-machines, Saumet has performed in cities including Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Belgrade and Berlin to name some. His latest Dj and Live-act sets are available to listen on his Ritualism page on Di.fm’s Techno Channel.

On the other hand, Ø has been building a solid sound with top notch skills to improvise live with some synths and analog machines, creating an evolving atmosphere built with well crafted pads and sounds to remark.

This set was recorded at NATURAL on Wednesday 17.07 at Astralia-Luft in Astral Junction Berlin.

An exploration of the invisible architectures shaping perception, Perceptual Geometries maps the shifting relationship between sound, space, and the listener.

Across its movements, evolving atmospheres and pulsing undercurrents intersect with hypnotic tonal structures — forming patterns that seem to dissolve as soon as they’re recognised.

This is not music to simply hear, but to inhabit — a framework for altered states, where geometry becomes sensation and perception becomes form.

Perceptual Geometries unfolds as a continuous study of sound, space, and perception — a journey where each track acts as a chamber within a larger structure.

It begins in stillness with Resonant Axis and Inverted Symmetry, opening a meditative space where form and emotion hold in perfect balance. Gradually, shadows and tension emerge in Fractured Horizon and the dense, uncharted descent of Vector of Silence.

Midway, Ecliptic Drift marks an awakening — colour and movement flooding the architecture — before Vanishing Meridian offers transcendence and emotional release. Spectral Coordinates follows as a slow navigation toward uncharted worlds, leading to the quiet self-reflection of Topology of Memory.

The closing piece, Phase Architecture, expands outward into open air, suggesting that the geometry continues beyond the final tone — an unfinished map still resonating in the listener’s mind.

Perceptual Geometries is not background music; it is a framework for deep listening, where sonic form becomes sensation, and perception shapes its own architecture.

This sequence starts in stillness, dips into mystery and intensity, blooms into awakening, and ends in spacious release — a clear arc for both emotional and spatial listening.

Each track is a chamber within a larger structure, where form dissolves into sensation and listening becomes architecture.

His unique sound expression is gonna reach again the techno scene for some pure damages. Emmanuel Top belongs to the hall of fame of legendary techno producer. He sold millions of records (vinyl) with aliases such as B.B.E., Plexus, Karlos Mendez, Age of love,..

On TOP of that he made many classics under his own name such as Acid Phase, Turkish Bazar, Radio, La Pipe a Eau, Tone, Krankenhaus, Ecsta-Deal, Stress, etc .. through his own imprint Attack Rec.

Played by almost every dj s all over the world, his name is a trademark of quality music and characterful music.

Beginning in the early '90s, Emmanuel Top became France's first techno superstar, even if his popularity was greater in countries like Germany and England than his own country. His avant-guardist album Asteroid (96) on Novamute was a key album which influenced many techno producers of today. 

Top's next step took him to Nova Mute. There, Top debuted with the Lobotomie EP, followed by the Spherique 12" and the Asteriod LP in 1996.
Now he is concentrating on Dj gigs all over the world and his new label ]FºKªLM[.
