Paul2B started to get into mixing as a teenager.
Over the years, his music has evolved through many genres like Trance, Micro, Deep House, and Techno...
Percussion, groovy basslines and organic textures are the main ingredients of his sets. During the pandemic, music played an important role in mental health. Taking a particular interest in nature, he got more and more into ambient music. He has released mixtapes for techno labels / channels like Lowless, Anodynic Frequencies, and also contributed to a VA for N F E R E E's label.

Stellar Series Episode 65 - Paul2B (Divine Nature)

A late night in September 2024, deep in Koenji, Tokyo—hopping between listening bars, cold craft beers in hand, surrounded by solid company. Takashi Mori showed us around, navigating the city’s underground pulse with ease. Big thanks for that, mate—what a night.

Off the back of that, we knew we had to get him in for a mix. Takashi delivers a deep, finely tuned session that locks you into his world of Ambient and Dub Techno. Precision-crafted, immersive, and straight-up essential listening.

Takashi first caught our attention with his release on Slope Point, but he's been a fixture in Tokyo’s scene long before that—a staple DJ spinning dub techno and other deep, hypnotic cuts across the city. By day, he works as a mixing engineer, fine-tuning sonics, and when he’s not behind the decks, he’s behind the lens—documenting Tokyo’s streets in stark black and white. A creative soul through and through.

For those drawn to ambient terrains, the name Francesco Piunti will likely already be familiar. Our first encounter with his mixes came some years ago - emerging through the well known Campfire Stories on Silent Season, then later well crafted excursions thru the likes of Oslated, Delayed, Deep Electronics, and Moon Garden Records not to forget his tireless work in hosting the Deep Breakfast Series (https://soundcloud.com/deepbreakfastseries)

Their eighth album, and first for A Strangely Isolated Place, on Lemon Borealis, KILN expands upon the long-explored themes of mosaic texture, subtle melancholy, eroded consonance, and vivid cadence to reveal yet another aperture to their unique magnetic universe.
