DJ Trax started Drumming at 7, DJing at 12 and at 15 he formed the hip hop group Mixrace with two MC`s (Dev Paradox + Leke Aerosoul.)
Trax released his first track a year later (1991) on Brain Records alongside DJ Raw. 

In the same year Trax and Dev signed to Moving shadow.
Over the next 3 years he released Solo 
12"s on Shadow under DJ Trax and Joint releases under Mixrace.

In 94 Trax + Paradox set up 5 record companies with Scott W and Gary S Stronghold, Mixrace Productions, Offset, Nautilus+ Mobhanded.

They released a couple of dozen 12"s on the labels, both solo, and duo (under Brown + Dangerman.) Trax + Paradox also collaborated with Hyper On Experience on Stronghold + Timeless.

From 97 to 2003 Trax mainly focused on downbeat/leftfield music. He released an album and two 12"s on LaCerba/3mv as well as releasing on Goodlooking, Kriztal, Mole, Beats + Pieces and Hed Kandi. I also Remixed Kutis Blow The Breaks!

From 2003 to 2009 Trax released a further two albums 1,000 Pictures + Thoughts In Widesceen which was on the front cover on Knowledge Magazine.

Trax also released on Outsider Music, Ocyris, Paradox Music, AKO Beatz, Omni Music, Skeleton, Transmute, Mole, Tempo, Next Phase, Repertoire, OSR, Subvert Central, Subtle Audio, Crisis, Misspent Music, Scientific, Syncopathic Recordings and my own label Audio Buffet.

Over the years as well as Paradox Trax has collaborted with Naibu, Ricky Force, Nucleus, DSP, Macc, Infest,Cryogenics, KJ Sawka, Becki Biggins + Enjoy. 

Trax has released a series of EP`s with US Hip Hop group Assorted Anonymous. Followed by a Vinyl album.

Alongside the releases he has also written music for many TV/Multimedia projectsand Scored for the Feature Film Shifty. He also has a bi-weekly radio show with Nucleus called 'Catch a Groove'

He has DJ`d in many cities across Europe and run nights through out this time.

Future Engineers have been producing drum & bass since 1996, with releases on labels such as LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Blame’s 720 Degrees, Renegade, Partisan, and Vibez.

Transference was launched by Lee in 2010, kicking off with the Future Engineers ‘Ellipse’ EP. The label was established for Lee’s solo material as Future Engineers, but evolved to include various other projects with the likes of Electrosoul System, Sunchase, Operon, Cutworks, Radicall, Dauntless and Fuj.

Stephen Carr a.k.a. Digital is one of the UK’s well-respected & inspirational drum and bass producers with a career spanning 20yrs plus and a seminal catalogue of original & innovative releases to date. 

His signature bass-lines & radicalized dubbed out sounds reach back to his childhood seeing his Father run his own sound-system for nearly thirty years in Ipswich, UK. The moniker ‘Digital’ was given to Steve by the Ashanti Sound system, immediately recognizing his technical ability operating a sound system at the age of 14 while also relating the moniker to the future, his youth and the emergence of the digital age. It wasn’t long before Digital used his dad's sound-system on his own, in 1991, with the ‘rave scene’ growing in & around Ipswich he started to hire-out the system to various promoters, noticeably Danny C who he befriended through their love of music and raving. This is when he really got interested in the rave scene and its music triggering his curiosity that drew his attention to production…


Born in Bristol and brought up in Newcastle, Rantoul discovered his ambition to be a drum & bass DJ and producer, and hasn’t looked back since. 

Early on, Rantoul spent much of his time as a graffiti artist. It was this experience which led to the discovery of what he really wanted to do. He became interested in the rave scene through a friend, who at the time was receiving a constant stream of flyers through the post. “I used to promise myself my name would be on them,” he recalls. 

Rantoul’s determination to make his new-found ambition a reality led to him putting together a studio from scratch, with the help of his family. His musical policy was clear from the outset: “I’ve always been into drum and bass, especially the more atmospheric and musical stuff. I’ve always stood up for it, and that’s lost me a few friends, but at the end of the day I know what I like and I’ll stick to it.” 

Those all-important influences originated in the drum & bass scene of the mid-90s, with material from artists such as Photek, Source Direct, Peshay, Alex Reece, and a certain LTJ Bukem: “I’ve always been influenced by Bukem,” says Rantoul. “I first saw him at Dreamscape in 1993, and after that I used to travel to see him as much as I could.” Meanwhile, Rantoul was beginning his own DJ career, acquiring a residency at On It, Middlesborough, not long after the closure of the legendary Speed. Rantoul soon built up a reputation for his music, and his refusal to compromise the sound that he loved. “I used to get people coming up to me all the time and asking if I had anything harder,” he recalls. “But I’ve always done my own thing, regardless of what anyone else thinks.”
