A musician, DJ and producer, Monsieur Van Pratt has been making headway in the Nu-Disco scene from his home of Mexico City.

Strongly influenced by 70's disco, 80's funk and jazz music, his production is an amalgamation of these sounds, finely tuned for maximum effect. Four original compositions of disco grooves, sumptuous sax and jazzy keys. Proper!!

Collaboration between two artists, Outterspace1 and The Tonica, is a deep dive into the textures of contemporary minimal sound. The core of the release is Outterspace1's signature hypnotic groove, built on precise beats, a deep bassline, and atmospheric pads.
The key element of "Not Alone" is Ostrovskaya's ethereal vocals. Her detached, melancholic delivery doesn't dominate, but rather weaves into the overall soundscape, adding narrative depth.
This isn't music for loud parties. It's a soundtrack for late nights, when all that remains are thoughts and the city lights outside the window.

This is a heated vision of tropical intoxication from Bay Area combo Gilberto Rodriguez y Los Intocables. It’s Chicano Soul power on a sidewalk glide through time and space. Ojalá is a slippery rola, cat-calling to the cosmos in stretched out summertime chants. The saunter is propelled in slithering twists and sways by fluid percussion, trumpets, guitar, keys and bass. These are sweaty spells laced with fruit juice and sticky intentions. Frosty premiered Ojalá on Open End, his weekly Red Bull Radio zoom around the globe. For those who don’t know, NYC-based Luca Venezia, aka Drop the Lime, aka Curses, has been a mainstay of the US avant-dance/pre-EDM scene for a dozen years – he’s also a larger-than-life figure, a kind of dandy-cum-party animal-cum-womanizer, but that’s not quite the point here. Under his Drop the Lime guise, he produced wild breakbeat music and launched the infamous Trouble & Bass, known for its raw warehouse beats and rowdy spirit. Then he created the Curses alias, which he uses to make more focused, dancefloor-minded tracks, some of which were released by our former label Institubes in the late noughties. Marble is proud to offer you his first Curses installment in four years, and it’s called "So Good". 

These two new tunes show the two opposite sides of Luca’s current musical identity. 

The title track, So Good, is a 2013 take on early nineties house, complete with sun-drenched MIDI chords, deep kick and bass and a linear yet tense and hypnotic structure. Great warm-up tool or early morning downer. 

Deep in the Night, recorded in Paris with the Marble crew is a disturbed cinematic track, coming with processed vocals, mental synths and the trademark "Ha" ballroom sound. Martial, nightly techno for the druggy hour : feel the pressure and get stronger.
